I don't know what it is but people who seem to struggle parking also seem to be the ones that avoid reversing into a spot at all costs. I find any tight parking so much easier going backwards :p

My parking is not great but reverse parking is so much easier than any other sort. There's also a good reason for parallel parking in reverse.

A friend of mine will only park in a space she can pull into, if it involves reversing she drives past it.

Find it much easier to reverse or parallel park into any space. Think everyone should drive a big van at least once just to learn how to maneuver using mirrors. Once you learn how to do that you can park anything

You must be popular if you are hitting something everytime in the bus!

People who know that when reversing a HGV you have to turn the steering wheel the opposite way, (for those that did'nt :-)). I have been known to reverse the car using the mirrors and missed the spot altogether, you end up facing from the opposite side. Easy done when in work mode. But Embarrasing.
