Skoda Fabia vRS advert

Featured Replies

Right thats the first time I have seen the advert, despite reading every post on here about it!

Have to say I liked it, kept your attention, gets you thinking (e.g. wtf was that about) and look how much attention its got on here

To Skoda

I visited my dealer today and the salesman said that the ad has been very successful at bringing buyers into the showroom. Perhaps it's only us owners who can't understand it. :(

It was on Granada about 30 mins ago, but I only caught the end of it. having seen it over t'ninternet, I'm still none the wiser! All the same, if it's getting all that interest it must be working!

Is the guy being chased by a trouser press?

Regards,

A trouser press indeed.

I believe the gist is to highlight how something normally considered mundane like a trouser press can be quite exciting when it wants to be.

I think it would have been better if the trouser press was wearing a chunky brown cardigan and drove a Ford Taurino.

Thats how I see it, with the tag line, practicality and excitement (or something like that), so you have the practicality of a Corby Trouser press along with the excitment of chasing after a bag snatcher rolled into one. Still weird though

I saw the ad for the 1st time the other night, it was difficult to know what the ad was for till the end when you see the furby on screen for about 5 seconds.

Im seeing Fabia vRS's all over the shop now, the bubble is well and truly burst - welcome to the new saxo :(

Just another reason to debadge it ;)

Just like a Saxo driver would do :)

That is weird - but cool.

Much more so than Skoda's Euro ad for the new Octavia Combi. Has anyone seen that yet? It's so unfunny you wouldn't believe it. It sees a couple chase their way to the hospital through a crowded city while having the Octy take all sorts of evasive action - and when they arrive the pregnant wife looks at her grown belly saying, [insert the badly sychronized translation in your own Euro language of "Oh come on, let's do another lap!"]

Oh please...

I work in TV, fabia Ad is good but ending could have been much better, how about a stand off with the Vrs and trouser press. The car would have been given a little more exposure. Maybe a view of the car from the side ( maybe not it might get mistaken for a Toyota Corrola)
