Condensation in side headlights

Featured Replies

The near side headlight unit on my Skoda has picked up condensation. Any one got any ideas on how to remove said problem??

Pop the lamp unit out and take it indoors and remove all the bulbs and let it dry out overnight then refit.

Cheers!! :)

Or pop a few bulbs out and get the hair dryer on it. Leave the bulbs out for an hour and do again

I put a little bag of the silica gel desicant you get in loads of stuff under the rubber seal. Worked a treat.

Hi All

I had the same issue but with my headlights - so i took off the two curved rubber water drain pipes of the back of the headlight, so problems since.

Regards

Paul.

My FL has done this over the last few days, been very wet here in Wales. Do I really have to avoid puddles for the sake of the headlights?

I have seen the back facing rubber vent pipes, can't see taking them out will make things better. The light path is clear so only spoils the asthetics.
