I`m not sure what size the above ones are, but mine are a bit more "filling" of the cut out.

Should have taken a picture of the Jetex exhaust before fitting it as its the same quality as that.

My mate Jake has one and his is loud with NO Wo0o0o0oo noise when you let off.

It's not droney when cruzing about, only loud when on BOOST!

I ******* hate that noise, can you get a video or sound clip of your mates? Sounds interesting

I'm very much anti-pigeon pipe as every Bora, Toledo and Golf over here has a straight peice of scaffolding from their turbo back it seems.

The Pipewerx isn't just a cat-back, it's a full system. And because it's custom you can have as much or as little noise as you want. And any outlet style for that matter. If you just want a cat-back then I'm sure the Piper system is great.

Im having my mufflefretorryakktzbobby job done tomorrow at Powerflow, Going for the twin tip. My standard tip is looking rarther weathered.

You wont be dissapointed mate.

Having no silencers in the system at all.

I got my exhausts done at GI and got to say im really pleased with it. Gary and the others there couldn't believe how good it sounds.

Pic of the tip.

it must be you that gary spoke to me about, said he done a turboback on a fabia vrs and it sounded awesome, said it was more like a petrol? is it annoyingly loud or just when you kick it? any chance of a video?

Only the rear box

Only the rear box

Eh? mufflefretorryakktzbobby = no silencers, i.e. no back box

Yeah only the rear i.e back box replacement. You put ''Having no silencers in the system at all'' there still a silencer in the system?

There is only one muffler in the standard setup, and thats the backbox. By having a mufflerectomy, you replace the backbox with a straight pipe with a tip welded on the end to make it look nice, and removes and silencer/muffler.

Mufflerectomy is no boxes at all, just a bit of scaffolding.

Is this purely for noise? or is there any gains to be had from this? I dont want a noisy system, or a sutty rear

thanks

Rich

No gains, just awful noise. (IMO of course)

IMO my mufflerectomy sounds nice its on youtube :)

I really want to hear a pipercross one. I want an exhaust but i dont want it loud in the car as i have a 2 year old and its used everyday.

I've got a 3 inch downpipe (no cat) into a Piper with 0 boxes and it's not loud in the car, doesn't drone on the motorway and doesn't seem to make that noise when you lift off. it's not quiet when you stand behind the car and under load/on boost it is loud, but not as diesely as I'd expected

Yeah only the rear i.e back box replacement. You put ''Having no silencers in the system at all'' there still a silencer in the system?

I think what I put means no silencers in the system. Nil, zero - i.e. a mufflerectomy

Obviously on the VRS there is just a rear box as standard, so it would just mean replacing this with a bit of pipe.

If I was performing a mufflerectomy I would probably want to replace all the pipe back from the CAT with a 2.5" pipe and stainless steel and not just a small section of pipe (though that is obviously cheaper)
