Wing mirrors

Featured Replies

Only noticed this recently but has anyone experienced any issues with their wing mirrors? Essentially, my off side mirror is moving in the housing when driving but the nearside is steady as a rock. Inspecting both mirrors the off side one does not seem to be loose/broken. I wondered if it is a quirk of the aerodynamics around the mirror but changing its position slightly does not alleviate the issue. So just wondered if this is unique to me or others have experienced similar issues before i go running to my dealer.

Anything that you don't feel is correct is something for your dealer to look at -that's what your warranty is for. My mirrors don't vibrate -I've had my Fabia from September and done 7k miles.

My accelerator pedal was squeaking - took it back and they replaced the whole pedal assembly -if it does it again (which I think it might be starting to) make no mistake I shall be straight back.

The Off side Wing Mirror Glass vibrated on the Wifes New Fabia Vrs (MkII)

Took it back and the dealer removed the glass and fitted a new one, problem solved, no more vibration.

Sorted

I had a similar thing occur on my Octavia and it was down to the mirror simply coming away from the back plate. I was able to remove it and using double sided sticky pads re-attach it. No further problems after that.

Thanks for the responses. As the car is less than a year old it is a trip back to the dealer to see if they will sort it under warranty.
