This might help you out. If you're looking to sell privately I'd look on pistonheads and autotrader to see what similar cars are selling for, then knock a bit off so yours is the best priced. Have you asked your dealer if they want to buy it back? I think most dealers would be quite keen to have your car on their forecourt, jut don't expect retail for it though.

Offering cash with very little details on the car or just looking for a bargain??

Gutted Tim yours and mine rolled out of factory on same train if I recall would be interested to hear what you get offered id say 14K for a less than 1 year old with DSG would be a lil low id want more for my manual race blue! and its also just on 4000 :(

Webuyanycar offered me 13.5K for mine and they offer very low generally! and as I said yours is a DSG so id think they will offer you over the 14k mark by a few bob. Good Luck!

The Problem is that the new cars are so cheap with the 0% off its cheaper to by a new than used car. I am going to by my second Octy VRS and again its cheaper for me to buy new than a 1 year old on, The dealer near me has a fully loaded DSG CR170 in black with Nav for £20k (demo).

If you want to sell a car in the first 2 years then be prepared to be kicked in the nuts sadly.

Looking at the Skoda used cars for sale, retail they are going for around 16.5K with the DSG box and simillar mileage and age.

Indeed! WBAC offered £11685.00 for my Octavia DSG 2.0CR vRS Combi, candy white, only 15k on the clock and all options ticked apart from sat nav and sunroof.

Needless to say I will not be selling

Depending on the options, that white vRS was a good deal!

Unless you do huge miles, the petrol is a better car all round (IMO). The MPG (low 30s) is excellent for the performance available!

yeah mate car was bog standard with dsg box.we do 9000 per year currently getting 37.5 mpg out of mondeo estate 140 dieselauto.highest 40.5,lowest 37.5so so not much in it.in a pickle now vrstsi/cr170 v superb cr140dsg elegence estate?superb would be on motability, costing me a total of £13000 over 3 years?options 3 spoke wheel.p glass.heated screen&nozzles in steel grey.or vrs and keep 6+ years plus.just got this nagging feeling for a tsi!!decision dicisions zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Test drive both. I did. The TSI is much faster and sounds better too.

It is also smoother.

9k miles a year is similar to me. With the ever-growing disparity between diesel & petrol prices, and the fact that you'd pay more for a diesel to start with, you could easily justify a TSI. In fact, you'd probably save money!

You'd be driving for years before you benefitted financially from the slightly better mpg of the diesel!

You'll love the way the TSI drives too! Took mine to Somerset today and had an absolute blast. It seems to get quicker every time I use it. I was considering a remap but I'm not sure if I really need any more pace!

Good luck whatever you decide!

Hello all,

How much do you think my cars worth

CR VRs DSG in Candy white with reverse park. It's in pristine condition with 4000 miles. Registered 30 March 2011

Cheers

Tim

You do not say how you want to sell the car as the price to change is the real figure.

I tried to sell My 2010 Vrs CR manual in April with less than 10k on clock but had bids of less than 13k from some dealers when they were selling for as much as 17k or more.

The end deal was 16k px at a 13k mileage on a new vrs dsg cr full option car. A cost to me of 8k to change on a new 28k list price. but for 20 months motoring a cost of £1600 based on px and original price paid £17600, and discounts given by Skoda on vat etc.

Not a cheap car I know but if you added options to other vw/audi group cars the saving was huge.

If you need to sell then someone out there will be willing to rip you off for 13k if you can sell on say auto trader then maybe as much as 17k but somewhere in between as its for all purposes a new car and more dependent on what you can or will accept.

Hope this of use and my comments come across with the hope you drive the deal you want.

Mr C.
