Hi....I had an elec seat as an option. The Yeti has less than 1000 miles and has been to the garage 5 times so far in an attempt to get the memory feature to work with no success!!!

I hope you have better luck if you change.

Regards.

As you say, it's only an option on the leather in Elegance trim.

You could buy the seat seperately if Skoda sell it (they must make the parts for repairs) but I'd expect it to be very expensive!

Ask a dealer to cost up all the parts + fitting + covering in cloth to match the interior of a car with an inferior spec.

I think it'd be cheaper to buy an Elegance with the electric seat and get the trim changed in all honesty.

Well, yes, as you say the parts must be available and they are not made of leather, I suppose I was hoping that the mechanism would be external from the seat and it would be a gizmo under the seat, although thinking about it, it would all be built into the seat itself. Oh well, I will see how I get on with my manually operated seat when I collect Yeti 1.2 SE, in March.

Definitely.....and save yourself loads of dosh. I wished I'd never seen this option.

I really wanted the electric seat with memory function as I'm 6'3" and my wife is almost a foot shorter. Didn't get it in the last Yeti as we didn't want leather but it's the only thing on the car I regretted.

After I've driven the Yeti my wife spends two weeks moving the seat about trying to get it back in the right place. I also want the ability to tilt the seat cushion.

Now have an Elegance on order with electric seat (well, two actually, but long story) and if I do find the leather cold in winter and hot in the summer I will be having the interior retrimmed. Was going to try seat covers first, but they sometimes slide about on leather unless well fitting covers specific for the model.

I changed my order to get the electric seat (during my seven months of waiting) and it works a treat. Never had a problem with any of the electronics nor was the leather too warm in summer or too cold in winter - within minutes the seats are warm when you switch the heating on! Bliss!!! The best bit by far is (as BossFox wants) to set a seat to each of your two keys for two drivers. You get in and the seat and mirrors are spot on for you every time. Not that it is that difficult to just press 1, 2 or 3 to be honest BUT if one of the drivers is very small with the seat well forward and up it is a pain for the taller driver to get in and then press the number and wait what feels like ages for it to move. Doing it (per key) when you open the door is automatic. Love it.

But back OT: like electrically folding mirrors and quite a few other bits this will be very, very pricey to retro-fit. In Europe (and perhaps Ireland? I really don't know Irish specs alas) you do get electric fabric seats though. Typical! [You can see it here with two different fabrics. Be mindful that I mirrored the first two images so that it looked like a RHD UK seat. But that shows an electric fabric seat] The electric only being leather is (as ever) only a SUK thing. So you might be able to source a complete one from Ireland since a European one would only electrify your passenger seat! :giggle:

My last two octavias had the electric seats but had half leather half alcantara. The yeti doesn't have electric memory function and it's the one thing I really wish I had. But I have never found the leather too cold or hot though the heated seats on the yeti do seem to take a lot longer to warm up than the Octavia did.

I guess you mean YOUR Yeti? Or do you mean the Yeti in general?

Sorry. Yes to be clear the yeti which I stumbled on has no electric memory seat function. The octy top spec combines leather with the memory seat but on the yeti the seat is an option. Mine was configured with a spare tyre and sunroof but nothing else. :-(
