Le Shuttle, choose your time £39 each way buy 10 crossings(in a year) for about £250 - nephew who lives by Fougeres has just done it

And if you use Tesco tokens it's even cheaper than that. Eurotunnel every time for me - a great experience, straight onto the auturoute and oh la la!

-10 outside, expected to fall to -18 overnight.

The joys of living at the foot of the Dutch Alps

Trip recorder just gone over 400k since the last refuel. In the old Renault I'd now be out in the cold at the garage. Yeti's still above 1/2 full. I like that !!!

Not everybody spent as much as you Bobdog on their car

Only Xenon equipped cars have that feature, and Dewi doesn't. She is a halogen equipped SE from memory.

Mac,

the "stickers" are still in the car (unfitted) after the last trip, and if I can help it, by the time it is dark I hopefully will be in a restaurant for pre-dinner drinks!

Just remember that the Gendarmes now fine you on the spot if you don't have fitted headlight converters - even in the daytime.

Well no problem so far!

Fuel consumption doesn't seem to be so good, perhaps the 130 kph limit is a bit too fast!! Mind you I filled up in Crickhowell and the light still hasn't come on!! Now in Bayeux.

Don't forget your breathalyser (sp?)

Fines will only come into force from November onwards so I think he's safe for now. ;-)

I've ben told by my French friends that it still hasn't been passed, and that they are waiting until after the election before anything happens. As she said, when/if it does all the supermarkets will have kits for a Euro!!

FWIW Last I read thty would be required from Spring.

Need em' late spring, fines later in year, get em free from your local gendarmerie, they have to supply em if asked, direct from a modelling colleague, a sergant in the local brigade!

I found them on line in the UK, a quid each plus a tenner for postage.

Probably available at all petrol stations in France for a €

Spent the day today wandering around the a rather wet valley inland from the Baie du Somme looking for wild birds (SWMBO being obeyed!!). Saw a white Yeti and he responded to a "flash and wave"!!

Unfortunately they weren't running, so no, but as a "controlleur de CDF" I'm sure they would have let me!!

This was a more moving visit.

The photo is of the new Pegasus Bridge. The original is at a visitor's centre on the other side, and was a very moving experience.

You have a very tolerant and understanding wife. If I went looking for wild birds I'd get my marching orders!
