Is it okay to use the occassional injector cleaner with a tank of petrol even though the owners manual states not to?

If you have then don't worry.

In future though don't bother simply because its not worth it. Modern fuels are full of cleaners etc.

Even more so on things like V-Power, but they all have it.

A few people on here, including me, use additives with no negative effects. I personally use the Millers stuff when filling up.

This guy has a petrol tho Jim, so I wouldnt use any bud.

I use millers too but only because I have a dirty diesel vRS lol.

Can you tell much difference with the Millers in the tank or is it just a placebo effect?

I didn't think the mk1 diesel Fabia had an emissions light. I'd have thought it would be on the petrol models.

the emissions light is a common fault on mk1 vrs due to egr valve getting clogged up

The Fabia doesn't have an emissions light though? Just a generic engine management light? The EGR can make that come on, but it's for ANY engine fault, not just emissions related.

Well it is what's specified in the manual for the 16v What with piston ring failures, even if it is due to bore glazing rather than incorrect fuel, I'd rather be using the specified stuff.

Once saw some guy at a petrol station filling up his Lamborghini Gallardo with standard unleaded, when there was a super unleaded pump right next to it. Spend over £100,000 on a car, and try save a few pennies on fuel That or more money than enough sense to read the manual and read what it says inside the fuel filler flap. Lamborghini specify super unleaded to be used.

The millers stuff makes my fuel go further and also helps to keep a cleaner burn.

Il pop to Halfords tomorrow and get some and give it a try.
