HLW cover

Featured Replies

Lost the old headlampwasher cover on the L&K estate - the parallelogram shaped thing. The new one looks like it should just snap on, but is there a way to check its clipped in correctly? (because they can obviously drop off!) Maybe a way fix it on with the washerjet extended? If so how is that done?

ps the washer itself still works fine.

You should be able to reach in and pull out the nozzle to clip it on.

Mine came off my vrs recently. Easy enough to replace, apart from having to spray the thing. But looks good now.

Easy to get the washer out. It's spring loaded (and quite a strong spring).

To pull the washer out, I used a cable tie that I had made a loose loop, hooked that around the washer and pulled it out. Held on to it, whilst firmly pushing the cover on. (it does nt "clip" on but u know it's secure), then let go gently.

Hope that helps

Mine fell off my vRS as well wasn't too chuffed so ordered a new one because the plastic it fixes onto was cracked so got it sprayed and took it back to the dealer and they fitted it in minutes no charge either probably out of guilt because only had the car few weeks and was first time used the h/lamp wash so much for the 2nd hand car skoda check, been fine since, hope ya get sorted soon

So they're prone to falling off eh ? I thought some little scroat had stolen mine...

Thanks guys. Will try to get sorted soon, just waiting for the winds to change from Siberian to a more Mediteranean direction.
