VRS Exhaust tips - stainless?

Recommended Posts

Pretty sure they're stainless, and they're welded on. Give em a soapy sponge clean and dry and then use some metal polish and fine-grade wire wool and they'll come up great. There's enough space around the rear valence to get your hand in, only awkward bit is between the pipes.

Did exactly this myself last year and worked a treat.

Yeah it was Autosol metal polish that I used.

Once you've cleaned them give them a polish with a cloth first, see how bright you can get them, and after that go for the rough spots with the wire wool.

I must have been lucky; I just used a normal yellow duster, any stubborn deposits lifted with a little extra rubbing.

I loved the results, so much so when I now wash the car revealing the shiny tailpipes is the best bit :giggle:
