I would love LC

I'd love to put the rally kit on my vRS, could see it being a little costly though :|

Just found this.... http://www.rally24.com/rally-cars-for-sale/rally-car-5440.html it must be possible yo get them somewhere but like you said it wount be cheap especially including painting and fitting plus the exhaust mods to fit through the hole in the bumper

Althought saying that iv got a few hundred burning a hole in my pocket but no idea what part of my car to spend it on

Now why dont skoda make that as standard ? ;)

Not to mention the wheels which will have to come out quite a few cms. Axle blah, blah, blah, money, money.

Isn't LC standard on the VRS? I have got it on my Octy VRS DSG CR*

No not standard on the vrs. What do you class as launch control??

Launch control as in launch control!

Left foot on brake, ESP off, Gearbox in S, Right foot planted on gas and the revs will sit at 2k (on the CR) until you release the brake and 'launch'.

Cant find the link at the moment but on seatcupra.net under ibizd cupra 14tis a lot about this and I am sure doing it this way your gear box will soon need replacing

This method works with the 6 speed found into Octavia but not our 7 speed because as soon as any throttle is applied the clutch will engage the gear. So all your doing is burning your clutch out as its fighting against the brakes. Will be interesting to see how long your gearbox and clutch lasts and if they cover it under warranty.

Well firstly I rarely use it and secondly its a feature they've put on the car so would be within tolerances else it wouldn't be a feature so can't so how they could ever refuse warranty work. Thirdly as it is a feature and the clutch isn't engaged until you release the brake its not putting the clutch or gearbox under any extra strain besides being a more aggressive take off than normal.

Wow that sounds nice

I attempted your launch control tonight but as i thought even in sport with traction off foot hard on brake. As soon as the car reaches 1000rpm it starts trying to pull away.

Hopefully some others can try and see if your the only one with or I'm the only one without launch control.

forthly..I'd be deleting ur posts about how you've used launch control, when ur transmission is screwed and ur trying to get it replaced under warranty.. ;)

Launch Control is a feature of both the Fabia vRS AND Octy vRS

Put the DSG box into sport (S)

Turn off traction

Put your left foot on the brake

floor the gas

Let go of the brake

Where does this state ANYWHERE besides on forums that this invalidates the warranty. Is a VAG feature so if it was to do any damage it wouldn't be included. Also backed up by a conversation I had with a vw master tech not long after I had car.

@Chris, left foot on brake first else its a bit of struggle swapping feet if you've already put into S.

Engine needs to be up to temp too.

I DID say left foot on the brake :giggle:

I tried it last night as well... left foot on break mashed my right foot down on the go pedal but it didnt keep the rev's up ended up just like a normal pull away :S

Is there any official info on the fabia's having launch control ?

The Manual has no mention of Launch Control. Short of winding your transmission into separate pieces, I am sure Skoda would make a mention of it on the vRS if it was available due to warranty issues and people mistreating their cars?

Its not launch control. Proper Launch contol works by keeping the clutch disengaged until you release the brake. All your doing is holding the car on the brakes. May aswell use the handbrake.

Closest way you could replicate launch control is to put the car in N rev to 4k and then drop it in to drive.

Guna kill the already weak clutch what ever you do

oh only in this litte document..

and I would suggest that a dealer could use either point one or three as a get out for a screwed clutch or DSG if you've been publicly admitting to LC'ing ur FABIA vRS...

It is launch control as when you do it correctly the clutch IS disengaged until you release the brake.

putting in to N and putting into D at 4k is one way to blow the box, LC on the other hand isn't.

So using a feature which they have put on themselves is misuse? Would love to see Skoda defend that one in front of a judge

BTW i haven't got a Fabia - see my sig below and profile info on the left :dull:
