 Lookin good..... :D

I'm sure you could get it a bit lower, you can squeeze at least another 1" before we see sparks!

only 1 inch?

Hmmm, something is missing in Paul's KW-kit. Four nice 18inch OZ-racing alloys with 225/45 tires on.

When that's done post some more pics :D

Cheers,

FD

why such small tyres?

on the last run out i dented the milltek ..so this week will be interesting....

Paul

Be carefull not to go too low, **** who posts here tried low on his rs before he sold it, and it went through driveshafts like nobodys business because of stress on the joints. So he sold the RS and got a BMW M5 instead.

Yep I heard about that from Ian, is there any more info about why they failed - was it track or road - got the impression it was on track with slicks?

Paul, it was on track with standard road tyres and semi slick depending on weather, this is a pic of his RS slightly higher than the troublesome height, but still caused problems less frequently.

he had a nice looking car..... anyone know why the shafts would fail? seems a little strange... im sure mine will also go as my car is similar height to the one in the pic for road but will be lower on the track....how much are they?

Think driveshafts are about

Dicks car was quite stiff as well as low, and with the P Zero Corsas fitted was generrating such grip that it but too much stress on the driveshafts. It should be pointed out that **** only used to use his car at the Ring so it was under considerale load when the failures occured.

Another thing to watch when stiffening is that the rear wishbone mounts can fail. If you intend to seriously stiffen it, get them rose jointed.

Jon

so my kerb riding / slick shod antics will result in some probs then... have you had your wishbones done?

Trust me, yours will not be as stiff as ****'s (did I phrase that right :D ).

His was pretty much a pure track car and was very stiff, you should be OK, but don't quote me on that!

how stiff.. got the v2's turned right up... ?

need some bushes i think....

Paul, ****'s system was exclusively made for him by H&R and Bilstein (correct me if I'm wrong, ****) and it's still up for sale (correct me if I'm wrong, **** :D ).

BTW, nice looks already but I agree that's not the ETCC look just yet!

****'s suspension if I remember was so stiff you could drive over a coin and feel a bump.

so i take it , and im wording this carefully.. **** liked it hard?:D
