Always, it's not normal unless I have some music playing on my lovely amped Helix components and 50kgs of sound deadening!!

Most of the time but will turn if off if I need to concentrate in certain conditions. Bad weather like fog on the M4, torrential rain. I do turn it off if I'm on the A4069 or driving too briskly just so I can concentrate that bit more and also not to egg me on too much and make me miss a braking point. Pendulum and Muse - Hysteria is known for this. :D

Radio for me..... Prefer 'talky ' stations rather then music.. >_>

Sent from my phone....

driving briskly - ac/dc

driving sedately - adele

Always have a CD on. Don't like radio, it disturbs my train of thought while a CD of my choice just washes over me!

Sometimes like to just listen to the engine when having a nice drive.

Mostly up beat music other times.

Depends on the time of day, but it can everything from Radio 4 to Radio 2, via Radio Wales, or the CD player or SD card.

Shouldn't this be in general car chat, NOT YETI?!

Very rarely turn it off. Used to keep it off in the RX-8 when pressing on for the engine note, not now given how dull/horrid the oil burner sounds.

Unless I've a passenger like my nan, it just stays on constantly. emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I don't have the radio / CD on whilst the car is moving, I prefer to concentrate on my driving. That way I probably have a better chance of getting there.

Trouble is, I like music of many kinds, so if it was on I would be concentrating on it rather than my driving. Speech is totally out of the question, that requires far too much attention.

Rob.

Generally I'll always have music or radio on, unless our son is in the car, then he will be watching Toy Story or similar.

But driving briskly on my own I won't have any music on.

Always have either the radio or music on

.......but in the Yeti forum??????

But it isn't now is it, as one of the other Mods correctly moved it!

Always if I'm on my own

Never if I've got a passenger / SWMBO who wants to chat

I regularly (once a month) am a passenger with 2 other mates driven a fourth mate who constantly has 5 Live on, droning carp away in the background. Does our heads in, but he wont take the hint.

Yes, but it is the radio generally for me, at least when there is something decent on. If it is some inane DJ with dire music or I need to comcentrate or just want to enjoy the drive then the 'off' switch is engaged. I have th iPod connected but rarely use it.

Bit od Deadmau5 whilst driving always gooood

You just can’t beat music in a car. Chillout (Bent, Bonobo, Chicane, Zero 7, Lemon Jelly, Theivery Corp atypical) for careful driving, Country (Alison Krauss, Rosanne Cash, Shawn Colvin, Show of Hands, Mary Chapin-Carpenter atypical) for everyday or Rock (U2, Stones, Dire Straits, Doobies, Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eagles, Springsteen and so on for bit faster) Smooth Jazz = Boney James, Everette Harp, Jeff Kashiwa which is cool down. I think the very latest Club music is too fast drum and bass for me. I leave that to LTJ Bukem which I can handle. I suppose Fun Lovin Criminals is the nearest think to west coast rock with bits of chillout and - amazingly - rap, which I can deal with though they are not as good as Steely Dan were in their hay day and still sound good now.

and good to see there's been no sudden anti-mod backlash as has been historically the case.

I have no radio in my car (de-aerialed - that a word? :D) so MP3 CD collections for me. A wide variety to say the least.

Mostly always have the radio or music on, normally either Radio 2 or Galaxy.

Wow, that's clever of you stating the bleeding obvious after the fact. :p

Kasabian, most of the time :)
