Audi TT seats

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Im looking at getting mk1 TT seats, but what I want to know is are they more supportive than standard seats?

I want to start trackdays but dont fancy proper buckets - I want something OEM looking, that fits easily enough but still holds you in place. Are TT seats the way forward?

Cheers

Chris

From my brief little try out in a TT they dont feel much different to the stock vrs seats tbh. They look nicer, and obviously are leather but didnt feel overly deep or comfortable. However, i`s sure someone with a little more experience of them will be more use. . .

Having drove quite a few for various reasons i wouldnt say there worth the extra money over standard seats plus being leather ul move in them alot more than cloth, unless ur properly harnessed

In the fabia, the polo GTI tartan seats are probably the best - they fit straight in unlike TT etc Should be better than fabia for support, if anything like my mk5 GTI seats.

Cheers guys, Im looking at half leather to try and get a bit more grip. Only reason for going for the TT seats was that they fit with only a little bit of work.

Anyone know if S4 seats would be anywhere near fitting?

I find the standard seats very huggy,

If you want to do track days etc why consider spending money on dated (imo) heavy old seats!? either fit lighter seats, or keep yours and spend the TT seat money on a set on decent tyres for the track

The polo gti seats are the dogs boll**cks but, and a big BUT!!! They cost in excess of 1k! Some one Piston Heads at the minute...

Some polo ones were on eBay for less than £500 a while back.

Because its my daily driver - and i want something that fits with relative ease :)

1k is a bit out of my budget haha

I've had tt seats in my Fabia for over a year and I think they r spot on .

In my humble opinion they are much better than standard seat base is a bit longer and more comfortable although as previously stated they take a bit of fitting.

Best seats for gripping you would be something Recaro or something Subaru.

Subaru seats appear quite cheaply on eBay... Especially Classic STi ones.

I've read of these seats being retro'd into Corsas and 106s, so reckon they'd physically fit...

mark I TT seats are heavy, and as mentioned don't really offer anything more.

They're not worth that much, you should be able to pick a set up for around £500. Either that or I well under sold mine!!!

Sometimes I wish I'd kept them for the Fabia, they're shape is amazing the bolsters are huge. Red tartan and GTi logo put me off though, they'd had to have gotten retrimmed to match the theme of my car. Which would've meant more money :dull:

If you want OEM bucket style seats, it's all about mark 5 R32 seats B)

The wife has a mk 2 TT,and the seats in that are very comfy and snug and a lot of support.S-LINE spec with half leather..I know you are asking regarding the mk 1 but i hope it helps.
