OMG Can Today Get Any Worst!

Featured Replies

Well after a bad start to the morning any way. I get a call from the Mrs saying "you've taken my keys to the house and I need to take the kids to school! I can't go out else I won't be able to get back in!" So after a few choice words I went out and defrosted my car, it had been parked at work all weekend as I borrowed a works van to do some moving. After 5 mins of scraping the ice off I got in and started to reverse untill I heard a massive BANG!!! I got out and some one had just pulled in behind me in a DAF pickup and I'd managed to reverse into the very corner of the body! No damage to the pickup but I have a broken drivers side tail light and The top corner of the rear quarter above the light is all stoved in!!! To say i'm not happy is an understatement, my own fault I know as I was rushing and not paying attention but never the less i'm gutted! I'm hoping my local smart repair man maybe able to get the dent out as you can seem to get access to the inside of the panel from the boot, so fingers crossed.

pics?

Bugger thats a pain , access is pretty good tho there , just stay at home then and hide

See where the paint has cracked, that's because the metal has been stretched, so it a body shop job.

Yeah. I sent some pics to my dent repair man and he said the same. Will get a few quotes over the next few days but doubt i'll get much change from £300.

Nothing a blob of filler wouldn't sort :-) chin up it happens to the best of us.

Well its not all bad. I went and got a quote from a local body shop this afternoon and they quoted me £300-£350! Which I thought was a right joke. Then on my way home I called in to see a chap I'd used before to spray my front splitter on my Siggy and he's quoted me £130 lol. It makes me laugh how there can be that much difference. Needless to say he'll be doing it when I get payed.
