PLAYING UP!

Featured Replies

Hi all, gave my motor some welly for about a mile to give it a clean out, when i parked for a few minutes then re-stared the engine, it revved to 1500rpm, stuttered, then dropped down to 900rpm, i then drove home (about 3 miles) reversed the motor onto the drive, when parked up the revs increased again, any ideas..... annoying to say the least

aint been out to it today, so hoping it was just a one off...

Notice anything on the 3 mile drive home? what rpm were you doing when you were on your way home? Any smoke?

Nope, no smoke, ( see where your coming from tho? egr is the guess)

Could possibly be the throttle position sensor, few folk on here have had that problem.

Next time it does it, put your foot behind the pedal(TPS as its fly by wire) and pull it back, if it returns to normal idle then it's the pedal! Mine does it occasionally but don't fancy shelling out £90+ for one when it happens rarely
