CD changer was standard. Standard lights are pretty good imho.

Cruise isn't that expensive to add.

I missed out on Maxidot when ordering, left it too late. It was only £120 too :(

Is the standard CD changer head unit MP3 compatable, read on some places it is and some places not?

I think it is around a 58 plate, the mp3 hadd a plug inlett in the jumbo box

Spoke to dealer belt and pump have not been done yet but they offered to up my trade in value to cover most of the cost (£150) left to pay myself. Still going for a proper drive tomorrow but does that sound reasonable or should I haggle more?

Tell them it is a £400 job, you will meet them half way , £200 off

they offered to do the job for 300 so did meet me halfway :)

Great news, and enjoy!

Done deal, pick the car up friday :D

Looks great in black. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine!

Decided to look at this one today:

Looks pretty tidy, just a couple of marks on a couple of wheels, paintwork good.

I am looking at doing a deal with my old mazda as part ex so looking at £4500 to change. Offered more for my mazda than expected without driving it! (Have been on a few sights to get and idea of price for mine)Only concern I have is mileage at 72k, does have fsh.

Do you think this a decent deal?

That seems expensive to me? I recently bought a 06 black vrs for the same price with only 45k on the clock...

Another 200 off would be better, as to others make sure fsh and belt and water pump, it is 4 years or every 40,000 miles so if not tell them 300 off, looks in good nick though

Has fsh and belt and pump done. Comes with 3 months warranty and is in good nick. Should I be worried about the mileage, I only do an 18 mile round trip each day to work so will not go up that much!

Condition ismore important than milage . I would still want 200 off though considering the milage

I agree with bluevrs2 that price looks a little high for age and mileage, but if you have been offered more than you expected for your car as part-ex then could still be a good deal and looks to be in good condition

Car is in good condition, have emailed dealer saying he has a deal if he knocks a few more quid off!

Ive been looking around myself and was contemplating going looking at this car (I mustn't live too far away from yourself). I disregarded it as it was too high mileage for the price and ely is about 45 mins away. I ended up buying mercurios vrs for a very similar price. Having said that, I've viewed a wreck at 58k. If a car is looked after then the mileage isnt as much of an issue. If you aew happy with it then go with your instinct. After all, these cars will happily run well over 150k miles. Best of luck buddy!

Thanks mate, in a bit of a dilemma at the moment I have seen a Golf Gti which is local to me which is around the same price before trade in and mileage is less (Spec is higher than Vrs). I have always liked the mk5 gti and I am now in the position to buy one. I no there is very little difference between the golf and the Vrs I just don't want to think I wish I had bought the Golf when driving the Skoda. I have always supported the Skoda brand over recent years and have put up with the old jokes but some people still do not get it!

If I didnt need the boot I would have contemplated the gti (and probably got one). You'll know when you drive them both. I know its a small thing but I love the flat bottom steering wheel with the tartan interior.

I like the interior to! Do not think there is much difference in the driving dynamics of each car. Large boot is a bonus! Insurance is slightly more for the golf!

Personally i think there is a lot of hype about this octane rating of petrol. I have used 99 and 95 and to be honest it's hard to notice the difference even with all my mods. My car seems to like 95.

Well after speaking to a petrol chemical engineer there is :wonder: only cost 4 quid more a full tank, and more mpg about 10 to 15 out of a tank . Not just about the Octane rating , protection for bp and v power etc.

Seem to have gone off topic here!

I just sold my 07 with 51k on the clock for £6,300
