yes in the pics it has rear electric windows, they missed a trick by saying it had fronts only in the blurb. Regardingthe wheels you could change them at a later date, same diameter, just a higher tyre profile so more comfy ride but not as cool to look at

Thanks for the info,No doubt I will have plenty of questions if I do the deal this week!

What sort of price you looking at?

7,800 and has offered me a very reasonable trade in on my current car. Also it has the full dash display screen (golf circles call it highline) no idea if that is standard on the VRS or not.

Jumbo box is just an armrest with storage.

Not much difference between 17" and 18" alloys but if it's got the rest of the options it'd look odd without them (it was a bundle)

Cheers I would imagine it had the box then. :) Sorry to be such a noob.

That sounds like the Maxidot, and no I believe it wasn't standard but an extra cost option, not essential but handy to have and nice to look at.

I am starting to get a little worried now, the car seems great, has some nice options, the dealer seems genuine, the price is right and the offered a good trade in.

Right about now I am expecting something epic to either go wrong or be wrong as I am never lucky.

Everyone is entitled to a decent deal once in a while.

It's probably due discs and a service. If it needs a timing belt that's your bad news.

Well they say it has full history and will service it before it goes out. Need to ask about the timing belt, dare I ask the kind of money that could be?

Budget for around £500 for the belt and water pump and labour - Obviously depends on where you have this work carried out

Use £500 as your stick to discount the price further, assuming it needs doing of course. Minimum you need to allow is at least £300.

Cool thanks again for the great replies. I am loving the amazing source of info this forum has available.

Every one comes out of the womb with zero knowledge, you are not a noob, I and others pass on knowledge I/we have found out myself /ourselves or garnered from others,

I think rear electric windows came as an optional package with jumbo box when i bought my first 06 vrs

The upgrade package package was:

Dual Climate, Jumbo Box, Electric rear Windows, 18" Alloys, CD multichanger??

Have I missed something?

Extras to look out for are:

Sunroof, Xenon Head Lights, Parking Sensors, Cruise Control, Maxidot

Anything else like columbus sat nav, removable tow bar etc etc are a real bonus.

Was the CD changer standard , mine was a showroom car so did not tick boxes to order, they were optional extras at the time but mine had them all but maxidot, only £100 extra to order but over £ 400 retrofit  , went in for a used one but tatty , they were getting the vRS estate in soon( just to be released) so wanted to sell the showroom car, I said I wasn't interested, wanted a black magic one as I had a blue car a year pictured last day I sold it PA010207.jpg

so did not want another, they twisted my arm £750 difference to change between used year old and 15,000 miles or new one, so I bought it  after I signed they realised I had not paid for the extras :giggle:

Thinking about it I think the cd mutichanger was part of the package too.

That was a good deal. The lexus looks like is was in excellent condition. Great paint work B)

Yes 5 years old then , cheers !

Car I am looking at defo has the pack including cd changer. But criminally i completly forgot to check for xenons and being new to the Skoda world not sure what they look like from a photo, if at all they do look diff from normal lights. No sunroof but thats not an issue for me. It also seems like it has maxi dot

lok at pics at the front, if it has washer covers then it has xenons

Doesn't look that way, can't have it all

Looks sweet though

CD changer was standard. Standard lights are pretty good imho.

Cruise isn't that expensive to add.

I missed out on Maxidot when ordering, left it too late. It was only £120 too :(
