Anyone been taking their Yeti too far offroad?

Featured Replies

Looks like it's been rolled; noticed one or two of the 2wd versions without ESP have ended up like this. Mind they do appear to be able to withstand such treatment remarkably well, suppose that's why they make a good helipad

TP

Certainly been rolled and as Plumber said has stood up to it fairly well, maybe the driver was too busy watching out for the helicopter and didn,t keep his eyes on the road. I wonder how much it would cost to put it right?

Why isn't my windscreen that tough?

Nice colour though.......Bit of T/cut........:giggle:

Rolled or not it's Cat D for a reason.

IMHO it should be dismantled for spares.

Right-off catagories:

* Category A - Must be crushed. All of it.

* Category B - Vehicle may not be returned to road but parts may be sold.

* Category C - Repairable. Significant damage. Cost of the repair is more than book value of vehicle at dealer rates.

* Category D - Repairable. Probably non-structural damage. May have been economic to repair, but insurer doesn't want to.

* Category X - Repairable. Minor Damage

I'm not sure it has been rolled as there doesn't appear to be any damage to the roof rails, and they are invariably the first thing to go.

Whatever, it would be expensive to get the panels. Probably better to strip it.

people used to tell me that green cars were unlucky, never believed it till now.

nice colour though, (what I can see of it!)

Yeti offroad buggy with the lift kit and it could have even bigger wheels, apart from the fact it is 2wd.....emoticon-0149-no.gif maybe not.

George,

shouldn't you be doing something useful like decorating your new house? :giggle:

And I've got an excuse, I had to be in work at 0530 this morning, which is very unusual for a Sunday shift!! :S

Never seen an X before.

Even stolen recovered just needing locks came under D.

Are they common?

C needs an identity check before going back on the road, D doesn't.

Probably because it's easier to steal one or weld two together than repair a C sometimes...

I am trying to hang some frigging curtains - so that the sheep can't see my bum.

And I gotta excuse too for being grumpy and pedantified - we played the rock'n'roll stuff in a tiny village hall - where the guest of honour was one of the stars of Only Men Aloud! Talk about feeling inadequate? The accompanist was the accompanist for the Royal Ballet. And after it all finished - spot on 10 o'clock (no late nights in the sticks - it disturbs the sheep) we had a cup of tea, sandwiches, gingerbread, cakes - you name it, we had it. What a community spirit.

But then - you understand all that.

Bloody hell! At 1000 around here they are only just starting!!

Mind you I was in bed by 10 last night, but I was up at 0415 this morning. :'(

No work now until Thursday night! :D
