Best retro fit aero wipers?

Featured Replies

which brand are the best for the fabia? ive had valeo which wiped well but were very noisey! got some true part ones from the local motor factors and the drivers side one doesnt make contact with the window properly, so thats no good! which brand do most people use?

Bosch are the most popular, however I have cheap £4.50 ones off eBay which are still doing a great job.

I bought some Bosch Aero Twins off of ebay for like £14.99. Have to say they are great! standard ones are terrible in comparason

Bosch aero twins are my favourite by a long way.

I got the BOSCH flat ones and they only lasted about 3 months before they started bouncing.

I've had BOSCH before on other cars and find they never last more than a few months!!

Only reason I got them again is because they were out of the Valeo flat ones. Wish I'd waited.

valeo lasted 2 months max on my car :(

aero twins can be had at a good price from euro car parts - I got mine from them. less than £15 delivered from memory. 19" and 21"

^ +1 Bosch, got mine from ECP and am well happy with them, great fit, great wipe, great looks!

I've found most of them are crap unfortunately; Valeo and Bosch included.

The best (of a bad bunch) I've had are cheap ones from Costco, I think they're Goodyear and are about £6.50 each.

Best ones I've had recently for botht the Octy and the Fabia have been from Aldi... Clean wipe, long lasting, quiet and cheap... much better than the Bosch, Valeo and Wiperblades.co.uk versions I've used in the past.

I have Goodyear ones from Costco on my Fabia. Seem to work very well and must have been on more than a few months now so sound like they'd have outlasted more expensive ones...

I bought my girlfriend the bosch ones and they work great except the drivers one doesnt quite make contact the windscreen at the top of the screen but its no big deal and doesnt affect anything!

You can sometimes bend them to help them make contact with the screen. Cleaning them with malt vinegar can help get a bit of extra useful life out of them.

I had the bocsh, ok but not brilliant... Had a patch from day 1 where they didn't quite wipe smoothly.

Thought I'd go down the budget route this time as pennies are tight... Bought WiperBlades.co.uk's own brand offering...

Actually really impressed with the quality and the wipe is better than the bocsh ever were (and slightly bigger, with out clipping the posts).

Would highly recommend.
