very twitchy but fairly soild but the traction controll is hit and miss :p Two questions i have been pointed out that i need a new exhaust rubber it is a bit saggy my exhaust...best place for one? also what are the origional tyres on an octy vrs 17" spider?

mmmm wonder who took that ;)

Looks great buddy!

Goodyear F1's were OEM were they not??

I found mine grand in the snow and Ice last year - as good as any other car I have driven in such conditions.

As for the exhaust hanger, main dealer or good motor factors should be grand. Its not an expensive part.

IIRC, the oe tyres were Dunlop SP Sport for the early ones and Contisport's for the later ones. My 2005 had a conti, and my 2002 had a Dunlop.

Like chicken said, they aren't great, but defo driveable.

mines fine in the snow and ice, had to drive past some cars stuck on the hill near me and just drove up without any slipping from standstill. Also watched a scooby driver have a lil spin when he was attempting to follow me on to the virgin stuff on the outside lane lol.

Just to think some people say winter tyres are a waste of money!

I'll get some photos up tomorrow with 'snowy octy' B)

Must be that funny northen/mids snow ;) I found the octy a dream in the snow last year. Unfortunately didn't get a chance to play with it.

Nice. Saggy exhaust tho :p

Taken Last year cause it's dead now!

Is 205 40 17 not what the Fabia guys use when fitting 17" Spiders?

I'm on steels and winter tyres now but still no frikkin snow!!

Looks nice Alex but could have looked nicer again ;) , you wouldn't have needed to buy tyres to fill them arches either...

Why stop at an exhaust hanger - bolt a FK exhaust on whilst you're under the car and be done with it

Here's mine from about ten minutes ago.

I've been out for a play round Scarborough before the roads fill up. I'm very impressed with the winter tyres, it's opened up a new driving experience for me. So planted and secure, even in deeper snow. The coach park now looks like a stage of the WRC been through!

Drove mine about in the snow last night was dead impressed with her ! Not even on winter tyres

I also made a car park look like a wrc stage !

boooo i cant play as mines all wrapped up in the garage. :'(

I couldn't even get mine out of my road with all the snow. Got so close but because its a hill and a corner, got beaten. :(

It was fine before I decided to come home. Conti sports aren't the best in snow though. Haha.

Mine was ok until you tried going into a snow/ice covered corner at anything more than walking pace then it would understeer like a 1300kg whale turning me into a passenger :o I never had proper winter tyres for it though, I suspect that would've been a lot safer. Not even going to bother going out in the Felicia, I'll be lucky if it even starts in sub zero temperatures!

yh got them off a fabia lad haha, i could have but i do realy like the 17's and exhaust will be a new turbo back in the next few months

Hopefully you got them at a good price then lex as you'll have to factor in 4 tyres now...

more than offset by the selling of my old wheels, plus the tyres already on they are hardly worn so i reccon someone can have them as part worn
