my mechanic had this exact problem, put them on the wrong sides and they didn't fit. I'm sure if they are swapped they definitely do fit and it's not a massive stretch of the original hose either. Good luck mate

cheers mate - I bought the Octavia hoses today just in case - if not needed will get refund or excuse to spend £35.00 in Eurocarparts -

thanks all

Don't let him fit them on the wrong side because of longer hoses, asking for trouble if he does!

How did today go mate?

How did today go mate?

Great mate thanks - fitted no problem - I marked the back of the calipers with o/s and n/s to make sure they fitted them the right way and put a little dot on the front of one so I could check after and all good. No need for new hoses as you all righly advised - cheers

not bedded in yet but I can already notice a difference.

Had a chat with the head mechanic who wasmightily peed off that they had got it wrong, but they looked after me well in the end. Think it was just one of those things.

Now have 2 hoses to return to Eurocarparts - what can I get for £35.00

any suggestions

Glad its sorted! Get some pics up now!lol

They're right.

As said, make sure that the hose connection is at the top, and the bleed nipple at the bottom.

I'm betting they are on the wrong way up.

WHAT?

Bleed nipples are always on top as you wouldn't get the air out fully if it was on the bottOm
