  • finally an update, now rolling on 19's

  • well I was down at my mates garage the other day and he plugged in his VCDS and enabled the navigation, so now all directions etc show up through the maxidot, and it looks like I may be back in employ

  • well, got them on this morning! got to say Im very happy with them, fill the arches really nice and are lighter than OEM, they clear the brakes without spacers too which is nice! only thing Im not 100

Slightly off topic, but that is an AWESOME garage you've got in the background of some shots. Kind of place I'd happily be buried in the pit of if it has one. HEAVEN is an ideal workshop

do you mean the dark coloured one to my boot, or the one way back to my roof in the above pic?

The dark coloured one to your boot, and assume that is one featured in many photographs as well?

yep thats the one! pictures taken up at my mams house, as thats where I go to wash the car etc (there is more room) she just uses that shed to store various crap and kindling. such a shame, would easily hold 3 cars! I have plans for it in the future though

Ive been asked about how the fitment is with the offset of these wheels, so here are a few snaps I took the other day, was raining outside so just taken inside the shed, IMO they fill the arches perfectly, and when I finally get some money together again they should be perfect with a set of quality coils.

Ok so had a little cash from selling some old bits, so ordered some pressed plates and the smaller Skoda rear badge. Pics to follow

and after some fun time spent removing the sticky fixers on front and rear bumpers and the sticker from the old badge, I now have a set of pressed plates and the smaller OEM rear badge fitted:

Where did you get your pressed metal plates done mate?

Edit: Just seen it was dubmesiter.

Also, the grill surround you ordered, is that the top and bottom bit of the chrome grill or just the top bit?

Cheers mate.

Stu my first set were from Dubmeister, the set on the new VRS are from a seller on Ebay, for what its worth the Dubmeister ones were better quality IMO!

The surround is just the chrome bit around the outside, although if you have the cash its easier to order the full grill to leave in for paint while you still have your chrome one on.

all fitted today and tested on our trip to Davagh Forest trails, they performed excellently, easy to fit and get bikes on and off, and almost no noise from them at all.  Meant to take more pics but forgot until I was in my way into the house, so this is it for now:

the trails in davagh are very good - i went the other way and fitted a towbar and stuck the bike rack on there :)

castlewellan is good for mtb as well, rostrevor is great but the climbing is an absolute killer

whereabouts in NI are you?

Couldnt bring myself to spend the cash on the towbar option! this came in about a quarter the price, lol! I live up in the North Coast area near Coleraine mate, so havent visited any other centres bar Davagh, do go to Garvagh forest a lot though!
