  • finally an update, now rolling on 19's

  • well I was down at my mates garage the other day and he plugged in his VCDS and enabled the navigation, so now all directions etc show up through the maxidot, and it looks like I may be back in employ

  • well, got them on this morning! got to say Im very happy with them, fill the arches really nice and are lighter than OEM, they clear the brakes without spacers too which is nice! only thing Im not 100

where did you get the grill surround from? been looking for one for a while, not a fan of the chrome anymore. Mines Black magic pearl, and want the grille surround colour coded :/

Daz, wondering if you can answer this question for me. I have a F/L vRS octavia with the TSI engine. I have been told Milltek dont list a downpipe and race cat for the TSI but notice you have one fitted on yours. Is it the same downpipe as the TFSI?

If you could let me know would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Woody I just ordered a surround from Skoda, then had it painted. FL Front Chrome Grille Surround -part no. 1Z0853661A739, hope that helps

Aidy, I was also told this when I was looking for one for my VRS, I actually have the Milltek DP/Cat for the Audi S3, and it fitted perfect, just took a chance as I was ablt to get it for a good price. Even though the S3 has a K04 turbo, the fitment at the exhaust/downpipe side is apparently the same

Thanks for the info. I will go down the S3 route then. Oh by the way your car looks stunning! Wish I had mine in white! :(

Keep up the good work Daz. ;)

just a little update (yes I know, it needs a wash!), called with a mate today, who is a bit of an autospark genius, so now have Superb Catvision fitted and L&K illuminated handles :-) got some pics, sorry if Im not the best photographer, but you get the idea!

while he was busy wiring I fitted my rear new style badge B) :

First he installed the Superb light, which I had Plastidipped last night:

and the finished product, I also installed LEDs ( p.s. whoever said this is a direct fit is a liar btw, you have to cut off the rear connector and rewire/solder it to stop if fouling the sunglasses holder behind it!):

and at night (sorry street lights kind of ruined the pic):

and finally L&K interior handle illumination (its not actually this bright):

Great work Darren, I have the L&K door lights for the last few months, but I haven't gotten around to fitting them yet, looks great!

Are the L&K door lights as simple as buying a pair from the dealers and wiring them into the window electrics (I assume) or is there some funky way you can set them to only illuminate when the cars stopped and the engine is turned off (like when the rest of the interior lights come on).

Nicely done. Feel your pain about the Catvision - I did exactly the same and got 99% of the way there before having to remove it again.

In the process of butchering it at the moment....

Think that it's the fact that most of the guides and info it's specific to the Octy2, so there's a presumption there that all you need to do is run the wiring and sort out the connector adaptor

I was lucky when I got my cat vision light, it had already been butchered by the person who I bought it from, he had it in his vRS before, so it was a 5 minute job for me!!!

JettiVRS, would like to see a thread on your car, hows it going now!

I gave my car a polish the other day and was down at my mates and straightened up my bizarre turning backbox, lol

Extreme modding done yesterday, my mate (StevoXSI) gave me a hand to fit this Lovely Briskoda tax disc holder, could have taken a better picture but it was wet and I was hungry, lol

Was gonna say you'd forgotten something in the middle, then noticed it was a bit blurry and not just from the rain :p

lol, indeed, cant be too careful Wardy! I must be the worst photographer in the world though, lol, in my defence I am using a phone camera!

Some new mods today also:

Digital MPH display enabled on VCDS:

there's 20bhp added right there.

;)

Thats why i needed the digital display, the tax disk holder makes it accelerate so hard the analog needle simply couldnt keep up ;-)
