Hi all

Just got a 2001 Fabia 1.9 SDI - been a volvo driver before but seems like a good little runaround.

I have noticed it is quite boucey and squeaky - anyone have any ideas what problems might this point to?

The other thig that seems wird to me is the fan. It works on all 4 speeds (not much oomph though) but if the fan is on when it goes into reverse, the fan goes into a sort of 'boost' mode then goes back to normal when out of reverse ??

Last question is engine oil - the car had covered 134,000 - what oil should I be using, does good quality 10/40 meet the VW 500.00 spec?

Quick answer to the fan question is that it'll go into recirc mode when you engage reverse so as you don't drag in exhaust gases.
