JOM vs FK Street Coilovers

Featured Replies

both are same price and i believe the FK street come with shortened drop links?

JOM have 2 year warranty, FK Streets?

i want coilovers for looks rather then performance as i will not be tracking the car although i dont want super bouncy ride lol

i had eibachs on my Clio Sport with standard dampers which were pretty good.

budget at moment is £200 plus fitting/Geo

if i buy the JOMs, il need a set of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-MONDEO-1993-00-SUSPENSION-FRONT-DROP-LINK-RODS-/250552791620?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a561c3244#ht_1202wt_905 ?

I've had FK streets before, very impressed with the for the price!

Actually rode better than the Weitecs I've had aswell :)

also comparing the two for my fabia.

ive heard a few more good reviews from the FK's

ive done some googling and it seems FK get some bad reviews, well they both do but FK more, due to leaks and harsher ride

as they both are not stainless steel, they can rust after a few years if not taken care of and kept greased.

guys whats the next model up from the jom or fk streets? are we talking KW Variant 1 Basic? http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/kw-variant-1-basic-coilover-suspension-kitbr-fabia-6y-12-14-14tdi-19sdi-19tdi-rs-19tdi-20-0100-p-5822.html

or Weitec Hicon GT Coilover ?

I have JOM / race land coil overs on my octavia and there very good to be honest I was surprised with the ride quality

I have the fk's and I am happy with them for the price :) everything I wanted and can go really low if you want to.

I was in your situation between Jom and fk but I went for fk because they make loads of coilovers for German cars and are German standards. Jom however I think are Chinese? So I wouldn't trust them :)

I'd go for the JOM as they come with a years extra warranty.

Damian @ DPM Performance

Bought my JOM's from Venom Motorsport and they've had less warranty issues with them than FK's.

I got a set of 3 month old fks tonight really cheap

Sorry to drag this up chaps I've just rang venom Motorsport about both these kits and I was told they don't do them for the vRS as it doesn't have a tab welded on for the drop link?

What's this about I'm sure people have had these on vRS's?

Apologies! This is in Fabia section lol

i like fk but im also a fan of jom, but which is best? Theres only one way to find out.............

Ive bought joms and got shorter drop links from ECP

Cost just over £200 all in

Getting them fitted this week

do it yourself, 2.5 hrs work. Nice and easy work

I haven't got a clue mate :( unless someone wants to help lol

I've got them sitting in the garage waiting lol...
