yep t1r's

how are they in the wet bud? i really like the look of them but here bad about wet ???

such a cool tyre tho

seem to be fine in the wet mate spins up off the line but round abouts corners etc are fine.

T1-R's are ok in the wet, not amazing but they're above average.

I'm in two minds whether to get 225/45s when i need new fronts in the next couple of months. Theres quite a bit more choice and they're cheaper, but i would have odd sizes then. :giggle:

stick with 205 50 17.

better eco and rid imo. t1R are ace lol, I only had the 225 45 17 that came on the other car but they were ace, even on the martkers they were ace in the heavy rain. they were the best tyres I have used for grip wise but they are fairly soft compared to say the 452's.

your speedo and miles will be better on the 205 50 too as the 225 45 will add an extra few mile to the speedo every 70. something like that.

Do you realise how long it takes me to do 70 miles lol :giggle:

Saying that.... It will start moving around soon

lol opened the garage for first time in a good few weeks today

I was just imagining them alot fatter than the 205s, they do look wide on the photos :)

Heres a few if your still after images?? can take ones with the wheel turned if you would like . .. 225/45/17 currently fitted.

Cheers bud :) i think it may be 225s, was lookingbat rainsports and its neatly £20 quid difference

Alright girls :giggle:

I doubt you would notice any difference just by looking, but as billy says the 205's are much better on mpg about 5-7 on a run which is a fair bit

Agreed my me, I found the same it used more fuel and I just had them on the fronts! Harsher ride and no noticeable improvement on grip

for the £20 each tyre, thats £80 total, the tyres will last you 15-20k at least unless tracking it. to save the price of one tank of fuel Its false eco lol.

asnt there is the slight decrease in rr so over that 20k your adding extra miles on to the car for no reason. Driving my Fabia has shown me that the car is at its most relaxing to drive when std lol. Cant wait to get the octavia stripped and overhauled over the summer as I miss the grip and extra fun factor.

again if there for winter why not get some Nankang SV-2? they were a lit less than £100 each when I got mine, I have some Ill prob have to take off the black spiders. Never been used, fitted to the car. Last time I looked They had gone up since I got them.

205 50 17 93V XL iirc. ;) can also bring them over for you as I work ust up the road lol :)

Unless you buy kumhos that lasted less than 6k, which I did lol

lol, fair one. You must have a heavy foot lol :giggle:

I have issues with my right foot lol

Its looking like i wont be getting tyres for the spiders yet, i think the weather is going to get better before i can afford them

Harsher ride doesnt bother me as much, i just assumed would look fatter or grip better

Lol i doubt theyd ever be as harsh as the 225/30/20s were

Its 215/35/189s on the bbs

Maybe 205s would be a easy answer ???

Theres not much difference in cost when nosing at falkens, was just the rainsports

Cheers guys,

I'll peek online at the nans billy mate, you know im odd and like nice tyre patterns hehe

lol, fair one. You must have a heavy foot lol :giggle:

Dunno the Falken 452's that were on the front for atleast 3k wern't worn at all and are still on the rear looking good. Had a problem with kumhos wearing quickly before on a previous car. All the pressures were right with even wear, just put it down to kumhos being too soft a tyre?

I do corner quickly with the rarb helping, don't spin the tyres, and rarely see the tc light on. lol

I found a cure for the traction light lol its marked ast and its in the middle of the dash hahaha

I'm with Raf

I got 6k outta ku31's never again, I was getting around 9k in T1r's on 225/45, and currently run 452's and around 12k of of set of fronts, don't monitoring rears as they just go forever.

I got cheap ass 205 winters on at the moment and they just don't want to wear out lol I'll get about three winters out of them at the this rate
