Roomster issues please help

Featured Replies

Hi all new to the forum have owned my 2009 1.4 roomster for a few weeks now and have noticed that the heater only has one setting (hot) no matter what i do with the controls. Also when the heater is turned off warm air still blows through the the side vents on to the side windows.

I am also looking to buy a diagnostic reader for my car, does anybody know where or which one is correct from my car.

Thanks in advance for any help

I have had exactly the same issue with the heater on my 2008 1.4TDI. It started last August with hot air blowing constantly but then it became intermitent so a trip to the dealer for a free check (even though it was out of warranty)was arranged. They could not replicate the problem but thought it was a sticking flap motor due to it being left in the fully closed position for months on end. I've started moving the control knob more frequently now and this seems to have done the trick as it hasn't happened since. They did mention that if the motor needed changing it would be in the £200 bracket but Skoda would probably help with the cost so it could be worth taking it in and finding out.

Cheers.

I had a 2009 Fabia with the same issue, turned out to be a fault in the aircon unit and was replaced under warranty.
