Crazy question. Our 53 plate SDI estate doesn't beep if you go to close the door and lock up with the headlights (or parking lights) still on. My missus says it used to do so, but I really can't remember.

Can anyone clarify.

If they should beep then can someone point me to where I can start looking as they now don't. Cheers.

Both of mine beep or rather, there is a continuous tone until the door is shut. Sorry, no idea where to look.

Hi the usual fault on these is the door catch as the switches inside fail and the car doesn't know that the door is open. To test this open the door with the ignition on to see if the interior light comes on or not as long as your interior light works and is switched to the door option.

Aha, I think you've hit the nail on the head with that one, the interior light didn't come on last night and I wondered why not! Cheers............you guys really are quick!

As above! My Golf does (or doesn't!) this, just need to reflow the solder when it's warmer.
