Gotta say Bryan, I'd still have a JPS Capri at the drop of a hat, and the Lotus 79 was always my favourite! So now it's all come together, it's got to be a from me too!

You need the gold circle on the bonnet with a no. 1 in it ;-)

They don't sell those fags any more do they?

Back OT, those tail lights look great with the black car.

Very knight rider :giggle:

Not my kinda thing but as I say, I quite like them

I like them but I'm not sure about their effectiveness when the sun is out and using the brake as there does seem to be alot of shine/reflectiness to them

Strangely enough, Matt, I followed a pre-facelift Octavia into town today in fairly bright sunshine

He for some reason had his lights on, but you could barely tell that they were without looking very, very closely

I think the LEDs might actually stand out more against the darkness of the tint, if that doesn't sound stupid

Having said that, until someone follows me to let me know, I'll have wait and see

First trip out in public with these tonight at the East Mids meet, and so far the comments are all favourable :)

Unless, of course, you guys were just trying to humour me

The first picture looks good mate (apart from the gold Shark badge :p ).

Sorry I missed them Bry, will have a look at the next meet

How's the seal holding up on them Bryan? You had any rain yet as i think i remember you syaing you weren't too sure about the seals effectiveness.

I am referring to the rubber thinhs around the lights, not the singer or the little fat things from the North Pole!! (before you start :p)

Not noticed anything so far

Tempted? ;)

On mine I used the original pieces as they were thicker.

That would be the next step if there is a problem. but everything OK so far

if copying is the best form of flattery, then I hope you don't mind....

I see they now list two versions, one specifically says for vRS & 4x4. However I could only get the ones that said for pre facelift, vRS and facelift. I have seen in some of the German forums that there had been lots of bulb failures warnings on some vRS, 4x4 & high specified models and so they had developed a second version, however i couldn't find any one with stock of the vRS & 4x4 versions. In fact I was told by one dealer that this related to earlier versions that didn't have the resistors to prevent errors, so who knows if I got the correct ones or not! These have worked so far, but i'll see how they go! I did try emailing Dectane direct, but have had no response what so ever! Perhaps my son's german isn't that good!!!

No problem at all.............suitably flattered :)

It’s not really copying anyway, as yours are a different colour on a different model and colour Octavia

Showed mine to the MD at my local dealer this morning, and he was well impressed :)

Lol! That's how it goes!

Just saw the sales manager at the petrol station, (finally found one that had diesel for those of us running on vapour) and he just said "thought you weren't going to modify this one!" meh! But then asks if I'd tell the parts manager what they were and where I got them from!

I suspect you've just started a trend

The unfortunate price you have to pay to keep the car legal, Mr Page :-(

Thats looking seriously good Bry. Well done !

Did u require cam bus adapter for back lights

Probably one of vthe most distinctive motors around. Crazily fabulous, yet it somehow works.

Brilliant.

Did u require cam bus adapter for back lights

No, they were plug and play. They have some resistors already fitted, so the LEDs don't cause the bulb failure warning.

Do the new clusters not have reflectors then?

If not, that's not so good for us poor pre-fl owners :(
