Do we like or dislike...?

In black I think they look alright better than I expected but dunno if that will translate across the other colours

I'm probably in a minority of one here, but I actually prefer the pre-facelift style Octy.

Make that two :)

Make that two :)

Three. Like much of the stuff from them this is of questionable taste, and 40 Euros plus postage for what is a very cheap piece of plastic is extracting the urine.

I think this makes it look much better. Skoda have made the facelift front end look too much like a cheap korean car to me. Like a Hyundai or daewoo or summat, just too much like everything else: at least the pre-fl lights looked a bit meaner and less chucked on.

40 notes is a bit much for Skoda's error in styling though.

It's interesting how a lot of cars hit a classic design then kind of go off. It happened with the Cavalier when it turned into the first Vectra,, the Primera when it went all French and Renault-looking, the Mondeo which seems to be trying to grow bits of BMW, and now to a much lesser extent the Octavia.

(Matter of personal opinion of course.)

But looking at my favourite versions of all those, they had design features in common, in having had fairly clean, straight lines - then they went bling.

The present fashion seems to be for bumps and lumps and needless curves and details.

I always thought the preFL looked too "suprised" so I fitted eyebrows and I had three or four other owners ask me about them. They were reasonably suble and colour coded. These are along the same lines and might be worth a go of colour coded well. Personally I quite like the FL as I think it looks quite mean but these may improve matters further.

The problem is eyebrows got such a bad press because every Nova owner had them so putting them on a car now requires a certain amout of bravery.......although not as much as painting your wheels gold :giggle:

although not as much as painting your wheels gold ...wonder who that was then

40 Euros plus paint is probably a bit too much really, although I'd seen a white one on here with them and I thought it looked the dogs thingy's for a day or two. Thanks for the input.

Dislike those with a passion! I love the FL lights and think that with a colour coded grill it makes the FL look more aggressive than the ore FL

Don't like those.

I think the FL looks a bit girly at the front with all the rounded edges. I can't get on with the wing mirrors too which have gone from perfectly adequate and well sized mirrors to truck mirrors; I assume for EU conformity?

5.

Prefer pre FL look more.
