I quite like the bit on the passenger side of the dash, the rest looks a bit much I think. But that's only my opinion

no, sorry

I thought the same, untill I found that pic a while back. Lol

Looks gash!

Its really in your face isnt it?

I didt think it would look like that

Well im not sure what colour to go for now, i dont like the silver and keeping in mind my alloys are white, so i cant really throw anymore colours in there, going to have to be black i think

No, sorry, it makes it look a bit tacky.

Hideous

Sorry but i don't like it as to me it looks cheap, especially the centre console.

There's always one that votes yes lol

Did someone get a Halfords gift voucher for Christmas :giggle:

Did it come in a kit with a 6" exhaust pipe and a 72" sub speaker

What about carbon fibre wrap in the same places?

Good grief. No.

I recon the bits on the passenger dash and doors looks ok-ish (would look fine if there was something else blue in there, like seat stitching). I definitely wouldn't change the steering wheel and stereo surround.

Carbon fibre look-a-like or piano black would probably be better.

Ian

If you can achieve a factory finish, I'd do the trim strips, but not the ICE surround cos that brings the whole interior down IMO.

Piano black!

If im going to paint them in going to paint all the bits of trim, i like the carbon fibre idea or piano black

I didt want to go a dark colour with the car already having a black dash and roof lining ect but that does look tacky

What about glossy candy white?

  • Author

That was my first plan, as the alloys are white, i think this will look just as tacky as the blue though

Piano black or carbon fibre for me, anything else IMO will just look tacky :-/ I fancy doing my vents black now too.

You mean paint the vents gloss black? This is will be massive ball ache, well id say so anyways.

Just the thins or the whole surround?

One problem with this kinda stuff..is knowing when to stop!

I like to make subtle changes (says the person with white alloys lol) but i dont want to go OTT, like i think (on the picture i posted) the vRS badge on the ash tray and the paint on the vRS badge on the steering wheel is too much

Looks a lot like the Fiat or Alfa Romeo styling - they have exposed metal work that's coloured and it works for them. I think the centre console is a bit too much but don't mind the rest. There's a thread on here somewhere - think it's Nick P's that has carbon fibre trim inserts or piano black, can't remember which.

Piano black!

Yes piano black would look tops. ............. sorry dont like the blue looks way way to much & over the top..

Yeah, but on my fabia lol. I think all the dash bits in black would look classy, leave the steering wheel though.
