New Skoda owner

Featured Replies

Hi I am wondering if any one can help me we purchased an 06 Octavia 4x4 from Arnold Clark about 6 months ago. It came with a two year warranty. After driving it for a week or so we noticed a shuddering that seemed to happen in the higher gears. So we had the dealer check it out and they said that they couldn't find anything wrong. So we left it for another week or so and it still wasn't right, subsquently we have been back twice, and they have still found nothing. We have a friend who is a mechanic as has told us that he thinks its a driveshaft. We have a 2 year old son and oviously don't want to get stuck somewhere and also that we paid a lot of money. I was just wondering id anyone had any ideas? We have recently been away , and when we came home the car seems to be doing the shuddering more and not just in high gears but also in low and when we go up a bit of a hill too. Any idea's . thanks

Hi and welcome aboard.

Say to your dealer what your mechanic thinks it is and see what they say.

Hi Thanks for that, we already have and they seem to not want to go there, probably because it will cost them too much! I think we will take it to Skoda and see what they say and if they find anything then our dealer with have to fix it. We are running out of ideas and kinda think that we are going mad.
