Yeah , good so far. I have had mine fitted now 3 months ( wrapped ) with 200 cell cat ......no complaints so far.

Does this replace the cat completely or just the pre-cat?

What do you mean by wrapped?

heat wrap,it keeps the heat in the exhaust

Is a 200 cel cat what the dp comes with then?

Some do some dont the toyo doesnt.

Adding a cat to the toyosport is a cheaper way of doing things if you want a cat for mot time.

Cut and weld / flange one in.

How much is a 200 cel cat

A 200 cell cat is between £99 to £199 depending on where you buy from. But toyosports have just started doing a down pipe with a 100 cell cat , for around £239 all in. But i'm not sure about mot and 100 cell cat.

As said before cut and flange fitting allows the ability to easily change the cat if it dies or fit a decat pipe for the track. However with an induction kit and the downpipe and 200 cell cat , my engine light came on. Had it cleared by one of the members ( vcds )on the forum at gti show at santa pod. But has since come back , too much flow for the ecu .......now had it remapped at Gti international ......sweeeeet and no engine light.

Hey folks just a word of warning. I went to fit mine today and after removing the standard and fitting the first downpipe part from the turbo, i found the second part was to long and so will have to be cut and rewelded to fit. Its a bit weird as have looked online now and the compression sleeve that skoda use to join the two pipes is towards the rear wheels on the 2010 vrs i have seen but mine was only just after the lambda sensor :(. Only possible reason i can think of is that as mine is a cross over car between tsi and fsi maybe the exhaust is slightly different. Just my luck lol

Its not a difficult fix really just have to find someone who can weld stainless now and get the pipe cut and the reducer fitted about 8 inches further back. Did knock out the pre cat before refitting the exhaust so a little more responsive but a wasted few hours to end up with it back to standard.

PS MIne is exactly the same as the one pictured above for reference and the straighter piece of pipe is the one i have to reduce.

No i don't think your car is a cross over or anything , i had mine fitted by an exhaust fitter ( and recommended get it fitted as such (sorry in a different post)). He explained the center section placement is different on the octavia to the golk mk5 , even though they are based on the same floor plan. A good exhaust fitter will be able to shorten the pipe for you and still allow the reducer to fit to standard exhaust system. Should be less than an hours labour to get it all fitted. Hope that helps.

:whew:

Oh ok cheers and ive marked the pipe where i need to cut it so wont be to difficult a job. One thing i forgot though is to check whether the reducer pipe fits inside the standard or if it just butts up like the original 2 pipes do (the compression sleeve just holds them together then). Wouldnt know the answer would you?

From what i remember it just fitted like the original dowpipe to original exhaust and the clamps were reused. Hope that helps.
