Demon shine

Anyone used this stuff and what's it like.good bad etc.Iv'e been told its a drying aid but does it actually wax too.I've always used Autoglym products,but just fancied a bit of a change and try something new.

Never used the stuff TBH Dolla but as with everything there is no right and wrong answer, it comes down to personal preference.

I started with AutoGlym products as they are very good VFM but have since moved onto Chemical Guys (again good VFM), Optimum and Megs.

I use Megs Last Touch as a drying aid and it works very well.

Nice one fella will have a look at the megs also,i'm guessing the chemical guys stuff you have to order online and can't buy it from an autoshop,Halfords for example.

Not in halfords some local specialist valleters may stock it. Other than that site sponser sells it as to plenty of other online retailers just look at plenty of shops to see who has the best deal on stuff ie free shipping or price reductions or buy so many items and get so much off

I use Demon shine as a "Quick detailer" after washing the car while its still wet spray it on and wipe it off. Simple as that.

Ive found it OK but if theres a good wax on your car why would you want it??

Been using Autoglym for the past 3 years and just fancied trying some other products and experimenting a bit,someone told me to try demon shine.

Waste of space.

I have used Demon shine, Aqua wax, CG pro detailer and PB quick detailer. By far the CG/PB stuff is the best. Demon shine leaves the paint looking very flat on dark coloured cars.

If you don't prep your car properly then it will just do the job fine, if you look after it then no, steer clear.

Probably just stick with the Autoglym then,its always done a good job.

Has anyone tried Greased Lighting ? Mate got a sample from a rep at his car shop so he done his subaru with it. Its got carnuba wax in it you just spray on wipe with one cloth then polish of with another. There is a you tube video worth a watch i was quite impressed with the finish for just 3/4 hours work.

Have to say I have used this stuff for years, and it's brilliant!!!!

I have read and agree with some of you, the spray is poor, but the pour over when wet is best,

Basically you wash your car and while wet pour it over, it assists with time to !dry and also helps give an excellent shine

The shine will only come if the car has polish on it

I used the greased lightening carnuba stuff on my last car(black Avensis estate). Worked well, and brought up a good shine BUT the car developed lots of small lines in the paintwork, looked like scratches in random directions all 1-3cm long and lots on curved areas like edge of roof, bonnet etc. They couldnt be polished out and tbh they spoilt the appearance

I have used Autoglym products and sno foam for past year since getting my Superb and it is still in showroom condition, as is SWMBOs Yaris

Wouldn't go back to Carnuba products

Greased Lightening gets everywhere! It goes all over. Ok, as said, if there is a hosepipe ban, I prefer Demon Shine. Use it all the time as a drying aid, a quick detailer and to clean door shuts etc. Better on light colour cars for sure.

As part of my current "Touchless Wash" kick I am experimenting with, I have added Demon shine in, initially as a rinse aid more than anything, as I've heard it works well through a detergent bottle. I really wasnt expecting much in the way of beading and protection, however during the last two days monsoon rain's its done a really good. I cant see it having amazing durability like, but for a £5 for 4 litres (i used 200ml per rinse) I think it definitely has a place for those doing a weekly wash.

I bought a couple of tubs of demon shine from asda when it was on offer just to see if it was anygood, I usually wash my car at work with hot pressure washer so its been sat in shed ages but used some of it other day, i put it in a spray bottle and sparyed it on after i washed car then wiped it dry with a cloth as i would usually.

Verdict, Its okay not as good as autoglyns aquawax but then it is less than half the price, think ill see whats its like if i when i've used one of bottles up but think ill stick to a good wash and wax and a good polish every so often as i usually do
