Hi all,

The radio on my 56 reg Roomster has packed in. The display is blank, apart from the odd flickering black line and there is no sound at all.

I take it that is a terminal illness and I need a new one. The trouble is, how do I fit a standard size radio into a big hole in the dash without it looking awful. This will be the first time in 40 years of motoring that I have had a radio pack in, so I am a complete novice.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Skoda sell a fitment that slots into the hole in the dashboard. It is designed to take a standard fit radio. You should also try to get a connector that allows you to connect the cablework from your new radio to the Skoda connector block for the original radio, Try your Skoda dealer first for this also.
