What do peeps think, would you be happy to buy these or would you avoid?

I've made an offer for £250 fitted (he is a full time motor mechanic). I doubt he will accept though.

My only concerns really is they could be shag*ed or possibly a bit old hat, I guess AP could have changed the design since then too.
