Sorry for a bit of a bump.. Firstly i'm pretty clued up with vehicle electrics but would like a bit of advice/help as it's a bit of a messy situation..

So i've ordered these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290663155108?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_2803wt_1270 after following the will it fit list. yes, so I order the them.. they come so I start removing the headlight whilst following Rob's guide (very good even though i've got the 'normal' halogen lamps same sort of stuff)

So indicator cover out in a couple of mins with some wiggling and then the rest of the headlamp is free... problem numero uno. Someone has previously botched the headlamp connector and snapped the anti-back out bar at both ends.. so after much swearing/bending. still no joy, i thought that as it is already snapped with a little persuasion it would slide off.. nope

So I try to do it in situ before I just get ****ed off with it and can get a fairly good access on drivers side of the side light/ dipped main (shared on this light, which I didn't know until then I assumed they were seperate as per the fitment guide)

So the main beam/dipped is the wrong type as mine is all in one with a 3 pin type .. need to mail them about that however my concern is if the other side has been similarly broken in the past and there is no access how on earth am i going to get the plug off?! I certainly doubt that I could do that side in Situ even with a bit of flexation and shuffling of the lamp.

What is the correct way to remove the headlamp connector with the bar, I know they can be awkward little b@stards.. Do you just have to get a little flathead in there and pull it away from the connector body similar to the MAF sensor?

So yeah. lots of swearing/blisters from trying to get these connectors off and no joy.. can someone offer a bit of advice!

Many Thanks
