About to sell VRS

Featured Replies

Looking to get an Octavia VRs so the Fabia's going to go on the market (I'm a Freedom member so will be appearing on here ;) )

Now the car is totally standard, has full Skoda history (apart from service before last), belts etc done to schedule and body work in really good condiiton (no spoiler fade!). And interior is good apart from the minor wear on the outside bolsters - so basically as you'd expect on a 54 plate.

But the wheels do need a refurb - do you think it's worth getting them done and ask more, or adjusting the price to give the purchaser a choice? Noting how many folks 'upgrade' the wheels on here wondering if a cheaper price might be more attractive to prospective purchasers? or on cars of this age are folks still expecting to see A1 condition?

Also top end Parrot BT fitted - leave and add a few quid - or remove to give total standard look?

Been a long time since I've sold a car more than a year or two old so not too sure what the market expects...

Huh, remove anything non-standard and sell on separately - always.

Mostly worth nothing (except to secure sale) on 2nd hand care and you won't struggle with that on a VRS

Clearn or refurb wheels yourself as best as possible? No point going overboard. Whats it worth - up to about £4k max I think ?

Better than what the dealer would give you anyway, you'd be lucky to get p/x £3k probably, they offered me roughly £4k px on my 56 when discussing a new octy about 6 months ago

My dealer just sold a 54 plate vRS in silver with 40k miles for £5795.
