hello all, im new to these forums, only having came across them while plugging a show on vortex.details of the show can be found in the meets section. not sure how many irish/nirish skoda owners you have on here, but you can spread the word as not many people know of these multi-marque shows(the way of the future?).many thanks and hope a Seat owner is as welcome over here as you are over on our forums!:D

Welcome m8.

You made no mention of colour, which for some is a big thing with their vRS.:D

Cheers

Without appearing too dumb....why would I assume your car is red? I sit available in any colour as long as its red?

Cheers

ps have you not got a picture editing type proggy?

REDMAN

Hello and welcome, colour is V E R Y important on Briskoda. But then there is only 1 colour that counts if you drive a vRS -- and that's Black Magic.

But as you drive a SEAT -- red will do.................

e-mail the piccy and I will see what I can do.

Your new Avatar should be in you e-mail inbox by now.

Welcome REDMAN

Dave, like your revolving avatar. it seems to have a blank frame in it somewjere though

mannyo

Thank's -- I've noticed the blink, but can't see where it is in the animation - I'll get there tho.

Can we have a warning notice for epileptics in the meantime as the flashing presents a potentail health hazard to them ...:(

PS Just noticed its been fixed...:D

PPS I was joking... :D

Denis

I found it,the animation software was adding an empty frame at the end when I built it,all now fixed so should not do it anymore, valid comment though.

Redman,

You could well have been related to Brian Redman, instead of red being your car's colour...

And welcome - nice to see another Seat face. I've been treating the Seat boys in Holland to the reverse pleasure, interloping their forum as a Skoda driver...

Welcome, Redman.

There are at least three Briskoda regulars located somewhere in (on?) the Emerald Isle - Daveclar, GAFF, and flanno (but I'm not sure of their locations), so they should be able to clue you in on any Ireland-specific stuff.

There's a lot of (friendly) banter about the different models and variants of Skoda here, so I don't know how you (as a Seat owner) are going to fare. Don't mention colours, if you know what's good for you - you'll probably start a riot :) .

Rest assured, though, that you'll get a warm welcome, and (particularly on the subject of the 1.8T engine, which seems to be the common link between all the VAG forums), there are a lot of clued-up guys who will do their best to help.

BTW - colour: Rally Red is best :) (according to 'er indoors, anyway). I like both reds (Rally Red and Corrida Red), but prefer Lemon Yellow. Don't let anyone kid you that black is the right colour :D

Uh! I dunno all this talk of colour -- there is only 1 colour and

that is :

Black Magic

sorry but the best colour is silver!!!!!!!!:) :) :) :) :)

Oh a newbie getting in on the colour debate -- that could be dangerous :)

i am sorry but black and red are soooooo last century i must admit black magic is a cool colour but i still prefer silver!

i would be quite partial to a fluorescent pink Vrs with tweed and paisley interior in preference to silver

Silver is nice, but I still think a black vRS looks nice - at least after Saturday I reckon so. Silver is definitely best though, IMHO, which is probably why I'm driving around in a silver car... Hmmm

I grudginly agree that silver is 2nd best - I nearly bought a silver vRS - the only thing that stopped me was that I had a silver car before......

Strangely enough, I don't care what colour car I drive. Black, silver, red, hell at a push even yellow, is fine by me.

Its a RS! Enough said! :D

Surely it doesn't matter what colour it is?

Or maybe I think that because I tend to drive it rather than look at it... :p

Edit to add: Damn you Jon! ;)

Rob.
