Guys ..... On the downer of my jom :(

I just thought id ask

Is there anythings youve done to your car you REALLY regret ????? ( excluding any smacks )

Maybe we can form a list to put folk off :D

A **** list as it were

1: JOM STRUT BRACE

VMAXX coilovers. Have learned to live with the bouncy ride for now but I should have bought more expensive ones I think.

Buying 225 tyres

Cost me loads in fuel

Buying khumo 225 tyres

seriously who makes tyres that last under 6 months ffs

1: jom strut brace

2: vmaxx coilovers

3: im going to put tyres as half the spiders on here run 225/45/17 and i dont want to be shot :D

4:

Trying to fit a new fuel filter myself, snapping off part of the old filter in one of the quik-lok clips, cutting the fuel line to try and get the bit of metal out of the clip then trying to repair the cut fuel line with a hose joiner... and in the end admitting defeat and taking it to a garage for a new set of fuel hoses and filter...£120 for a job that should have cost me about a tenner...

Snapping off all my cam cover bolts before realising I'd got my lefty loosey, righty tighty the wrong way round!

Oh, not supporting my turbo when first fitted on my tubular manifold because I was told it was strong enough, has snapped, been repaired, warped, been repaired. Now all good AND supported!

Putting petrol in it, ****** never stays full!

But it would be the yellow powerflex dogbone mount.

Funny i was thinking the same thing, altho more a good spring and shock combo than coilovers again

I thought that - but I love the way it looks as it sits now and it's a bit lower than it would sit on H&R -20mm springs.

Plus I paid for it to be certified for adjustable suspension :D

spend 170 quid on a forge splitter valve and then realising there ****!

Changed the hose clip on the front spigot hose on the power steering reservoir for a nice

shiny stainless one.

Overtightened it and cracked the spigot, result = had to buy new power steering reservoir :@

Don't flame me everyone but... number 5... ebay intercooler? :)

Ok so they MIGHT work... but no-one has any proof. And some have had a massive headache fitting theirs (Rob in particular)

Hassle was it

What a great idea this list was lol

Just copy , paste and add guys

I wonder how high it will get :D

Trying to find a vacuum leak under that manifold and accidentally tearing the pipe that was leaking, making it 10 times worse. Doh!

Red Dot Remap

APR Remap

CCCTech Remap(Upsolute)

Forge RS DV (didnt know the actual size!)

Bailey DV26

PiperCross PX279 (sits on the MAF!)

Rep Alloys/Aftermarket

Was all a learning curve tho.  Wouldnt of made these mistakes if I wasnt on here but again I wouldnt of had a working car neither lol, Just_Call_Me_Dave knows about that lol cheers again mate.

Didnt like your APR remap then mate ?

na mate it was not smooth and it was all or nothing as if not puching it it felt horrible lol.

best map I have is the IP remap off the 51 car(Amateurstuntmans and Westallc) car for smoothness and day to day drive and the RS tuning one is nice for the power lol.
