Loving New Black Neptunes & Vreds

Featured Replies

Earlier today I replaced my standard Neptunes new black (Hortons have a good deal on black at the moment) ones on my white VRS..... they have transformed the cars appearance it looks like a new car...i cant stop smiling  . The wifes just taken it to Tesco lets hope for no kerbing.

At the same time I fitted a set of Vredstein Sessantas much recommended on this and other forums, fist impressions are...... great levels of grip and quiet at motorway 'speed' and look good/different with the tread pattern. Time will tell.

Just need to get booked in to get some Eibachs asap as the new look seems to have highlighted the dreaded wheel arch gap more.

AMD have an offer at the moment supplied and fitted with wheel alignment for £300.00 inc vat I assume that this is a reasonable rate?

They suggest top mounts are replaced would these need replacing in a 30 month old car?

Just debating wether to fit winter tyres onto the old alloys or save garage space and sell.

We need photos ;)

Can't believe you posted without pictures :wonder:

Time will tell you that the Sessantas wear quite quickly. I got through a set in about 6k and that was with swapping them round. Great tyre otherwise though.

£300 is a great price for springs, fitting and alignment

We do need to see pics, as I have ordered candy white with black wheels so need to see asap! thanks :-)

PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

where you getting the deal for springs that sounds spot on price!

ps. this made me LOL :giggle:

fist impressions are...... great

That reminded me of Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift

remember this car ??

Small world.........I was at Horton’s this morning at 11am, so I’m guessing that was your 60 plate Octavia vRS parked outside

Interested in your old Neptunes if you think of selling?

Not me I bought them on line from Hortons - price included delivery.

Will try to add pics but it is grey and miserable here!

Looking nice, been thinking about black wheels for mine, £40 cheaper than a Zenith!

Have to have a look when mine's repaired.

Agree....my Conti's have lasted 16K whereas Vreds on my Leon were toasted after 8k. The price difference is about £40 per corner. I did thrape the Leon though with a few wheel spins!

Look on the brightside decent tyres will soon cost less than a tank of Petrol!!!

A bit of a random question but are the Vreds on your left side fitted in the same direction as the ones on the right side? I've got Sessantas fitted too and the tyre fitter has done that, but I thought it looked a bit counter intuitive. I mean, if the tyres on the left are going to skoosh the water out to the side of the car, then surely the right ones are going to skoosh the water under the car. Towards the left tyres! Surely that can't be right!

Please see link below to Audi RS owners club which shows correct fitting I took with me and checked, my fitter did however know.

How much did they cost?

Neptunes £650.00 inc free delivery.

Any reason you've left the wheel nut covers off?

What do the black neptunes come fitted with, do they get the same gunmetal grey caps as fitted to the standard silver neptunes?
