what do you think of these?

Featured Replies

go for it! let us know how you get on

http://www.racelandus.com/ same product as these just re-branded, might be worth a Google search to get some opinions from other forums.

they seem way too cheap! id do alot of research before parting with the cash

Never heard of them but cheap and suspension arent really a good idea.

There's no mention of TUV quality certificate either? I'd avoid to be honest.

"This kit is of comparable quality to units offered by Gmax, Pi, FK, Weitec and Jamex."

Anyone could make that claim for any old tat.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

On the other hand, they might be fine. Is it worth the risk though?

well they come with a 2 year guarantee from the manufacturer so if anything does go wrong at least i have that to fall back on and reading a few reviews on other forums people seem quite pleased and they are £300 cheaper than weitecs which was a bit worrying but worth the risk imo

Buyer beware they are £169 for a reason !

Someone buy a set and try them wound up first and tell me what they're like please lol

The seller also spells Warranty wrong.... I'd steer clear, I've sdealt with plenty of ebay suspension kits. They're a cheap copy, probably made in China.

As for the Guarantee, I wouldn't like to claim against that!

I had these on my old E36, they aren't that bad actually. A little crashy like all cheap coilovers but built well for the money (£146 at the time).

As said above they are re-branded Raceland coilovers, even come in a Raceland box and paperwork.

My brother also has these on his E36 skid car, loves them!

ok they have a ''warranty'' so if something breaks then your covered, but you wont be covered if the spring compression or dampening or absorption is terrible on them. people who have experienced bad coilovers will know what im on about

Check out UKMKIV's for reviews on Raceland - very favourable!

Used similar on my Corrado. Cost me £150, were very stiff but I loved it as that was how I wanted it at the time.

On my VRS though i'd prefer to get better ride quality, saying that I haven't had them on a similar size car so can't comment.

If you are going to buy cheap then would prob be worth trying to find cheap from a reliable place, least you might get on ok if or when you have to use the warrenty

Whats the cheapest dpm does ?
