apologise if this has been asked before ...

i am looking to swap me hatchback to an Estate and just woundered what colour suited best

1st colour of the final list is black, currently got a black VRS and even though it looks gorgous in the showroom as every one knows shows every little mark going ....

was considering anthracite but not sure if the colour suits the car (just say its suits my neigbours Q5 .. but not sure it would a VRS Estate)

white or silver possibilites , would consider red but has a mk11 pre face life in red ..

green a no, no .. and as much as i would like yellow .. not seen one in the flesh .. so not 100% sure

race blue a final possibility , but they seem to be quite a common colour ...

Oooo, can of worms well and truly opened.

Car colour is a very emotive and personal choice so your unlikely to get a clear answer on this one.

For what it's worth I'd go race blue, yes its the most common colour on the vRS but there is a very good reason for that - a lot of people like it.

If it was a common colour on a common car I'd think twice but you see so few vRS's on the road then I don't think you need to be worried about seeing lots of them.

My second choice would probably be anthracite, possibly white.

Definitely not red, rallye green or sprint yellow.

Mine is blue,i like this colour & think it suits the vrs well(it is very common though),however i quite like the vrs in white,the only colours id not have is yellow & silver(this is only my personal choice)I do like the new green though,looks very nice with black & some chrome bits.I had a black mk1 octy vrs & yes they look nice when clean but i dont think id ever have a black car again.

I also have a race blue estate and everyone comments on what a nice colour it is (it's also my second race blue estate), but if I was to get a third (unlikely) I'd be tempted by the anthracite.

Try Steel Grey - i've got it ordered on my diesel hatch VRS.

initially ordered silver as SWMBO didn't like white or blue but then thought "it's my car" so changed order to race blue :-)

Anthracite - Having seem VRSCarl's "in the flesh" so to speak I was blown away at how much of a sleep it was.

This is coming from a Race Blue hatch owner. That said, so many people has said "love the colour of the car" that one has probably got to say that Race Blue is the favourite!

You wouldnt lose that in a car park! I quite like that colour,would rather have one in that colour than a yellow one (just my opinion,dont want to upset yellow owners!)

Blue or white or even antrasite for me.

Just please don't get red it's the worst colour in the face lift.

That orange is nice is it available in the Vrs in Germany?

I personally have a Anthracite vRS estate on order, would have liked a black or a blue but black is a bugger to keep clean and every other vRS is blue.

I guess it depends on the next generation Octavia, but I quite fancy a new 3 series estate (out later this year) or maybe a Passat CC or possibly a Superb estate. A 2.2 Jag XF looks tempting too.

I have my black one to collect soon, I have to say as an owner of a black car they are a mare to keep clean, but isn,t that the fun of them??

Sorry! i was replying to 'IDP' he's ordered a Race Blue VRS - of which i've got the same colour - i'd never have an Orange one! lol !!

Black or anthracite for me I think. White and race blue are too common and the only car that can carry red off is a Ferrari.

Now what were you saying about yellow....?
