Looks good mate!

Does the FMIC make any difference to the standard turbo? I'm presuming it is just in preparation for the PD130; although I thought they normally ran off an SMIC in a normal VRS?

sorry oli almost missed your post,i havent piped it up yet, was told be several tuning companies that for the bhp gain extra id get from the fmic on a standard pd100 turbo, it wasnt worth the extra outlay.

it was bought in prep for the pd130 :) eventually it'll hopefully be running 200+ but thats a way off yet :) still chasing injectors and could do with saving for a clutch/SMF aswell just incase

eitherround the back of the cooler, or up the passenger side and accross the front, still have to buy this half of pipework yet. need a bumper off day to assess best route. how've you done yours?

I have gone down and across the back using pipe work from txautosports ibiza set up. Im just woundering how others do theres if there are any better routes, i dont mind how mine is but it is alot of pipe work. I now have replaced all oem boost pipes from egr delete all the way to the turbo itself.

Not done alot recently. Done the required services, strut top bearings and brake pads all round.

Also had the front end repaired and respraye after some inconsiderate woman at work redesigned it with her defender -.-

Looks good as new now thanks to a local paint shop :)

Hopefully get back on with the tuning once we're into the new year. Still require odds and sods. Plus the clutch and injectors :( would prefer a pd150 turbo aswell rather than my pd130 i obtained

thats interesting. would potentially save a bit of cash for the time being. until i want a lighter one.

bit of a job to take it all apart to check though :p you sure yours had the original clutch/flywheel still in

FSSH, till I bought it at 110k miles (now on 169k) with no record of a clutch or flywheel change

Also Darkside said mine was the 3rd PD100 with the ATD engine that had a SMF already fitted (only changed the flywheel due to it being knackered lol)

Got round to carbon wrapping my vents and gear surround

photo1nl.jpg

had a play with lime green carbon vinyl at first, decided i didnt like it.

photo3yhw.jpg

all vents out :)

photo4ky.jpg

photo5vt.jpg

and fitted! :) impressed myself with the result

photo2xu.jpg

redone gear surround, added DC logo onto the ashtray as i found it in my bedroom :p logo is actually lime green, crappy iphone camera

and that was it. fitted a cupra splitter and remade my intercooler bracket to raise it a little bit as was too low for my liking, but no pics as of yet.

Loud aha. Its not bad on tick over, but once you hit 2krpm shes gets alot louder. Sounds mint in tunnels and under bridges. Will be converting to standard rear exit type exhaust once vrs rear bumper is fitted, but i wont be having any silencers etc.

and i commute everyday and it doesnt annoy me one bit :)
