151.9 in York! Talk about being bent over

To be honest I was filling my cr up having done about 350 miles per tank whereas I get about 300 miles with my tsi so not a massive difference.

How on earth did you only manage 350 miles to a tank in a CR? :o

Here's me thinking something's wrong with mine not managing 600 (2 months old + 7000 miles)... Suppose I should be happy! ;)

O

Is that all £156 here!

Because I found it a bit slow so I had to drive it like I stole it. Got 500 out a tank once but it was boring and I may as well been driving the 105bhp greenline or whatever it's called.

I never ran the full tank right down. Averaged 37 mpg over 2.5 years. The point being when driven the same way there's not a massive difference between the CR and tsi. Currently average almost 30 in my tsi. Happy to sacrifice that for the extra fun factor.

U really are a diesel hater lol but 350 miles in a cr is just not possible , u should get at least 550, my pd will do 500 driving it on!

Had u a hole in ur tank or what!

Well I believe him, Auto Express averaged 28 mpg when testing the latest 320d in one of there reports, and let's face it that apparently destroys the CR in official mpg tests.

I also work beside someone with the diesel RR Sport and he is moaning about only getting 19mpg !

Drive like a granny you will get mpg, drive like a hot hatch forget it !

It's the same as someone on here saying the CR is 'almost' as fast as the petrol.......well do you think 3 seconds a lap slower is the same? Nope it's an age away, go on fastestlaps website and look at the times, no matter what circuit 3s is a week !

Google Golf GTI v GTD and watch the Spanish drag/laps the diesel is destroyed by car lengths and they used 2 prof Spanish sport car drivers.

You need to read my previous post rather than jumping on someone else's bandwagon. I didn't run my tank right down and the point I was making was that there's not much in it between the cr and tsi when driven in a similar way.

I'm not a diesel hater at all, the CR just wasn't for me as they don't suit my driving style, I don't find them any fun to drive, and they're not massively more economically than the tsi. That's my opinion from owning both.

Got to agree with Jonno I'm afraid, my previous PD vRS was not that much better than my current Tsi. With similar driving I reckon only 5-7 mpg better and considering how much nicer the Tsi is, not worth it.

+1 got to agree, you don't buy a diesel as a sports car and expect to get exhilarating performance. You buy it for mpg and drive it accordingly.

Ok my bad , did u ever own or drive a pd 170 and if so what did u think again the cr?

I had a pd on extended test drive for a day once when my tfsi vRS was in for something or other at Silbury Skoda. It's a different drive to the CR, more raw I would of said. All the torque comes in really early and then tails off pretty quick whereas the delivery on the CR is more linear and petrol like. It's horses for courses really, depends what you like.

Yes it's the more raw that I like, I would prob place it in between the cr and tfsi.

In what respect?

As in power delivery I like the burst same as all my turbo petrols had in the past, not into the whole progressive thing but having said that my next Vrs will be a cr so I'll have to remap it or something.

Must get a good drive in a tfsi some day :)

Has to be remapped its a requirement to have it deliver power nice pm me and I can email you the graph for difference.

Never driven a remapped pd vRS but I believe it makes the power deliver more linear. Made a nice difference on the CR.

My PD was remapped by P-Torque. Improved it no end but back then, the DPF delete didn't exist. Ended up causing no end of issues hence shopping it in it my current, and vastly improved, Tsi.
