Need some expertise on Braking Problem

Featured Replies

Hello there,

Being fairly new to Briskoda.net I would just like to say introduce myself, my names Adam and I'm currently driving a Skoad Fabia 1.4 8v in Silver, 2002 model which has only done 35,000 miles. Its had two owners myself and my grandfather and so has been fully serviced every year.

SO... to my surprise I had a near accident one morning and experienced my brakes repeatedly locking when applying a normal amount of pressure to the brake pedal. I again experienced this same thing a couple more times, but however it seems only to happen in the damp/ wet-ish conditions. A friend said he thought the ABS sensors maybe defective or something along those lines if anyone could shed some light on the subject I would very much appreciate it.

welcome to briskoda

Hi and welcome aboard.

Welcome.... Is your ABS light on or has it been on? If one or more of the sensors are faulty then it will bring the light on????
