The place was packed solid for the Easter weekend although today was a wash out.

The lunacy on the track has not changed at all from the normal comedy driving as this video shows.

The driver and passenger are out of the woods and also unhurt believe it or not.

I've heard it's manic on ring now. Things have got slack.

There's an amusing Audi R8 Ring related thread on pistonheads at the moment where the driver simply cannot drive the car properly! Raising some eyebrows about people just buying a supercar and heading out there expecting to be able to lap like Sabine Schmidt!

I don't understand why anyone would take a car like that on the 'Ring tbh. Just a heck no from me driving something like that hard on a very unforgiving track.

Good to hear they're alright. And at least the only thing they wrecked was their own car... could've been a lot lot worse - few hundred metres of armco, couple of porsches, one or two bikers... the mind boggles

Looking at the video the Honda crv just about jumped the armaco which saved them a load of money! Could of been a extra 3k euro bill if they'd spanked it!

I believe it was a German reg car so they'll also be fully insured so no big financial pain.

CRV around the ring, lol. I actually didn't identify its origin before it began rolling spectacularly.

It's the same CRV in this video (1m40s), must be the same lap shot at Adenauer Forst. Looks like he's up to the same antics that cost him later on in the lap!!

Seems like a lot of cars driving like loons in that clip, I assume they're all German and fully comp insured in that case! Wouldn't want to be in the middle of that in an uninsured UK car...

So drifting is the 'in thing on the ring?' How fast things change! Did anyone see the Race Blue Octy at 3mins 30?

Carfeitag (car friday) happens every year, usually over Easter I think. I just happened to be there in 2010 when this was going on, and it was ridiculous! Not a good day if you actually want to do any driving, but I have to admit going up to Adenauer Forst and sitting and watching was good fun, the atmosphere was great.

Took me 30mins just to leave the track!
