Skoda Octavia I alternator part number

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, looking for some help if at all possible.

Popped into the shops for a few minutes earlier and came out and the car wouldnt start, phoned the AA and he came out and said that the alternator is not holding a charge, and sitting at 12 volts? (i might be wrong)

I've looked online and on here and am going to buy one however need to know the part number, the only one I can find is the part number 030903023j, but unsure of purchasing it without some advice.

Car is a SKODA OCTAVIA CLASIC TDI 5 DOOR HATCHBACK 1896cc (2005) DIESEL

you either mean battery is not holding a charge or alternator is not giving out full 14.2V

find out again which it is first before you spend money on the wrong part

I think i gotba vrs one lurking to see numbers but im guessing its different is it :(

Got it in the garage again, I have my fingers and toes crossed its just the battery but could do with getting the alternator checked, however the AA guy was out again today and he was saying the (alternator level was 13.7 I think (Is that correct, I know nothing about cars)) so I am hoping the battery is just knackered and needs a new one.
